Is there sex in Heaven? Some, like Billy Graham, say “Yes, maybe.”[1] Others simply play it safe and say, “We’ll see when we get there.” Most, however, say “Emphatically not!” C.S. Lewis said that we are forbidden to even “suppose that life in the New Creation will be a sexual life...".[2] In other words, don’t even think about thinking about it!

Yet contrary to the popular opinion of C.S. Lewis and others, I respectfully disagree with the contention that we should not think about the prospect of having sex in Heaven. After all, sex is an integral part of what it means to be human. Sex is an intensely powerful drive for most people. Oftentimes, it’s immensely pleasurable, profoundly mystical, and deliriously delightful; though sometimes─you’d rather just have a cheeseburger.

The long-range ramifications of adhering to a belief in a sexless eternity can be, and often is, spiritually crippling. I personally know of several people who completely lost their appetite for heavenly things immediately after some well-meaning Christian enlightened them to the cold reality that Heaven was reserved exclusively for celestial monks and nuns. For this reason alone, Christians should prudently reconsider this critically crucial subject carefully and prayerfully. Beyond that, we need to discuss it, and vigorously debate it in a spirit of Christian love and humility.

Since this is not an essential doctrine of the Christian faith, we need to be respectful of the opinions held by the other side. We also need to remain open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, just in case we are wrong. The purpose of debate should not be to simply get into a war of words and see who the best debater is. Rather, our objective in debating should be to clarify our thinking so that ultimately, we’ll be able to discover what the truth really is.

Truth is determined by combining an accurate interpretation of Scripture with a proper use of common sense and reason. Truth is always reasonable. So regardless of what your current position is, I urge you, dear reader, to reserve final judgment until you have carefully and prayerfully considered the arguments on both sides. We all need to form our opinions based upon as much pertinent information as possible.

WHAT I MEAN BY “HEAVEN”

To avoid confusion, let me clarify exactly what I mean when I use the word "Heaven." The Bible talks about an "Intermediate Heaven," the place where Christians are now living, and "The New Heaven and the New Earth" (Revelation 21:1), a.k.a. “The Eternal Heaven,” which will be instituted on earth at some point after Christ returns. God’s ultimate purpose is to bring Heaven to earth and restore the cosmos. At that time, the entire earth will be like the Garden of Eden. Both the "Intermediate Heaven" and "The New Heaven and the New Earth" can rightly be referred to as Heaven. Depending on one's view of eschatology, some say The New Heaven and the New Earth will be inaugurated immediately when Christ returns, while others, currently the majority, say The New Heaven and the New Earth will be ushered in after a millennial Golden age of one thousand years. Both camps believe that Christians will receive glorified, resurrected bodies at Christ's second coming. Some people believe that Christians now residing in Heaven are disembodied, ghost-like spirits, awaiting their resurrected body at the return of Jesus. Others believe that the present inhabitants of Heaven now living in the intermediate state have some kind of intermediate body. So when I ask the question─ “Is there sex in Heaven?”─I’m mainly referring to The Eternal Heaven. Though I agree with Randy Alcorn that God may grant us physical bodies in The Intermediate Heaven, I’m confident that the Bible teaches we will ultimately have glorified physical bodies after the second coming in the Eternal Heaven. Here is what Alcorn says about the possibility of physical bodies in The Intermediate Heaven:

Given the consistent physical descriptions of the intermediate Heaven and those who dwell there, it seems possible─though this is certainly debatable─that between our earthly life and our bodily resurrection, God may grant us some physical form that will allow us to function as human beings while in that unnatural state "between bodies" awaiting our resurrection.
[3]

I agree with Alcorn, who states that resurrected believers will still be male and female endowed with new bodies that will be perfect, yet still physical. This definitely applies to the Eternal Heaven, and it may also apply to the Intermediate Heaven, though, as Alcorn acknowledges, the latter is debatable. I also agree with Alcorn, who states that our new bodies will still have sex organs.
[4] Alcorn and I part company, however, when he states that those sex organs will not be used to engage in sexual intercourse. Alcorn arrives at his conclusion by first stating that, “…Christ made it clear that people in Heaven wouldn’t be married to each other.”[5] In Alcorn’s mind, as is true with the mind-set of most Christians, “no marriage in Heaven” is the equivalent of “no sex in Heaven.” Therefore, though Alcorn and I both agree that we will have sex organs in Heaven, unlike me, Alcorn does not believe they will be used to engage in intercourse. Alcorn reaches his conclusion by stating:

Is that inconsistent, since they [our sex organs after the resurrection] wouldn’t be fulfilling a function for which they were designed? Not necessarily. Jesus was a perfect man, yet he was single and abstained from sex. Unmarried people on Earth have been called to celibacy, but they are still fully human.[6]

Since our sex organs will not be fulfilling a function for which they were designed, i.e. intercourse, Alcorn extrapolates:

If we won’t have sex in Heaven and if in Heaven there’s no frustration of desire, then it appears we won’t desire sex.[7]

If we begin─as Alcorn does─with the premise that the only form of marriage God approves of is monogamous marriage between one husband and one wife, and if we define sexual sin as “any form of sexual expression outside of marriage,” then it is totally logical to conclude that since Jesus did say there was no marriage in the afterlife, there cannot be sexual intercourse in Heaven. And if there is no sexual intercourse, then it is also logical that God would take away our sexual desires. Though I agree with Alcorn’s logic, I disagree with some of his premises. I’ll elaborate on this throughout the book.

Of course, God could annihilate our sexual desires once we die; but why? What’s the point? I fully acknowledge that God could invent some other method of experiencing a similar type of ecstasy. But what would be the purpose in that? If sex is a good gift from God, what would be the purpose of discontinuing sex in Heaven?

One of my objectives in writing this book is to make the strongest case possible for the position that there is sex in Heaven. Hopefully, others will pick up the baton and use my arguments as a springboard for further discussion and debate. I want to make it clear that my opinion is simply that—my opinion. Nevertheless, I’m offering an educated opinion, one based upon a considerable amount of thought and research. Since I am neither infallible nor omniscient, I acknowledge that I might be wrong.

Regardless of what your current stance is, I want you to know that I respect your opinion. If I challenge your thinking, I will have done my job. I hope to present both sides of this issue as accurately and fairly as possible. However, if I didn’t sincerely believe that there are fatal flaws in the arguments made by the other camp, I would not find it necessary to write this critique.

I am not the only Christian on planet earth who believes there will be sex in Heaven. There are many others, though a small minority to be sure, who either believe there might be or there will be sex in the Celestial City. Some of these Christians are pastors whom I have spoken with personally. The most prominent person believing that sex in Heaven is a distinct possibility is Billy Graham. Here’s what he told Larry King:

"People say that the Bible teaches there's no sex in Heaven. If sex is necessary for our happiness and fulfillment, it'll be there." [8]

(continued)

In case anyone is still reading, a positive (though possibly speculative) case can be made that male-female relationships similar to marital bonds can continue between the redeemed into the next life. This may then also imply a romantic, physical or even sexual aspect in such a relationship.

Below are some websites that make this positive case (across Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and Protestant strands of Christianity). Each website does deal with the marriage pericope of Mt 22 to a lesser or greater degree -
1. http://rezfamilies.googlepages.com
2. http://www.ewtn.org/library/Marriage/zmarrheavn.htm
3. http://books.google.com.au/books?hl=en&id=YSSCUO1tonkC&dq=meyendorff+marriage%20&printsec=frontcover&source=web&ots=5NSzvkqo5M&sig%20=hBJchN5_JtqohBFEy0xFHYABFJI#PPA15,M1
Whether you find these arguments convincing is ultimately up to you.

PS. please note according to historic Christian doctrine, the next life involves the resurrection, which is physical in nature, and is not to be identified with "heaven" (where the redeemed go after death to await future physical resurrection of their bodies) - please see this link for more explanation -

This is also discussed in an article called Are there Female Angels on the www.eathage.org site -- along with Scriptures that suggest that there will be a replacement for earthly "sex" / intimacy between the sexes in God's coming Kingdom. The primary verses that support this are: Romans 9:33 where we are told that NONE of those who believe in Jesus will be "disappointed" in heaven. Rev. 21:4-6 where we are told that the One who sits on the throne will make "All things new" -- suggesting that God will "remake" sex to make is "holy." Also Galations 3:28-29 and Rom. 12:5 where we are told that in heaven we are all "members one of another" -- or part of the same "body" of Christ -- and in a sense Married to each other. But the most clear verse in this regard is from the Old Testament book of Jeremiah ( the only prophet whom God told NOT to marry). It talks of God creating something New in heaven that involves a close body between men and women. Jer. 31:22. The above article also gives more verses -- in addition to the above. RB

Also in the above paragraph, the words "a close body" should be changed to "intimacy"

At the beginning of the Millennium the Earth is inhabited only by Resurrected individuals. And yet it's also clear new people are born during the Millennium.

So 1+ 1 = 2

I do think that in the New Heaven and New Earth reproduction will probably cease, as everyone's Eternal Destiny ought to be decided by then. But that doesn't exclude Sexual intamecy.

Mr. Gruber, Myself and other Christians agree, that there should be Sexual Intercourse & Lovemaking with Physical Bodies for Christians in Both the "Intermediate Heaven" and the New Heavens and New Earth, How would you respond if someone Quoted the Old Testament
Bible Verse Isaiah 55:8-9 Chapter 55 verse 8-9 about God's Thoughts and Ways being Higher than our Human Ways, and someone claimed that you are using Faulty Human Reasoning when you give arguments in Support of Sexual Intercourse in Heaven for Christians ? Some Christians claim that in Heaven there are things that are Much Better than Sex, but why get rid of Sex in Heaven, if better things come along ? Why Not Keep Sex in Heaven for Christians and the New Things Better than Sex ?, See also this link

3. "Sex on Earth As it Is in Heaven: A Christian Eschatology of Desire" by
Patricia Beattie Jung , Ms Jung Argues for the Existence of Sexual Relations/Intercourse in Heaven for Christians , I personally along with Other Christians believe there will be Sex in Heaven, because Countless Christians in America and Worldwide with Mental and/or Physical Conditions have great difficulty finding Willing Sexual Partners or Even Getting a Date, and to make things worst, in Most of the U.S. and in some other Nations, they risk being Arrested and Face Criminal Prosecution and Persecution if they Try to Pay for Sex with a Prostitute or Another Consenting Adult, it's bad Enough that these Countless Christian Men and Women can Barely get Sex and Relationships and companionship in this Life, at least when they ultimately pass away, Since there is No Mental or Physical Disease in Heaven, In Christian Heaven they should be Able to Have all the Relationships and Sexual Intercourse they want, and have the Sex Lives and Love Lives they were Unable to have in their Earthly Lives because of their Mental and/or Physical Conditions, Imagine how Messed up it would be if when these Sexually Starving Christians get to Heaven they are told "Sorry, there is No Sex Here either" that would be Pretty Messed Up beyond belief

"Ever wonder why Sex Makes you feel so Happy? Science Has The Answer and it isn't what

Because Countless Christians in America & Worldwide want there to be Sex in Heaven, Countless Christians want there to be Sexual Intercourse & Lovemaking in Heaven, just like on Earth, only better, NO STD's or HIV, No Need or Condoms or Birth Control, Countless Christians want there to be Sexual Relations in Heaven, even if they don't say it Publicly
Consider how Unjust & Unfair it would be for countless Christians with
Mental and/or Physical Disabilities & Conditions that make it difficult and often impossible for them to get Sex, and in America and some Other Nations Prostitution is illegal, these Sex Starved Christians cannot legally pay for Sex with another Consenting Adult without fear of being Arrested and Criminal Prosecution & Persecution & Public humiliation, I agree there is No Sex in Hell, Hell is Not some Fun Party, Imagine how Unjust & Unfair it would be for these Sex Starved Christians when they die and go to Heaven they are Told "Sorry there is No Sex here either, you are out of luck" and they reply "What about Sex in Hell ? is there Sex in Hell?" and they are told "There is No Sex in Hell either" Since there is No Mental or Physical Disease or Disabilities/Conditions in Heaven, All Christians in Heaven, should be Able to Have the Sex Lives & Love Lives they want , that they were unable to have in their Earthly Lives, Those Sex Starved Christians should be Able to Get all the Sex and Intimate Relationships they want in Both the
"Intermediate Heaven" they go to immediately when they die, and the Eternal Heaven , Of course Heaven is about Many Things, Worship of God & Jesus & The Holy Spirit, Fellowship with Other Christians, but also many Other Things of Earthly life besides Sex , such as Food, Eating Food & Drinking Beverages, Music, Sports, Entertainment, Sleep, Pets, Cute animals, Puppies,Kittens,Cats,Dogs, other cute animals, Television Shows, Movies, Books, Magazines,Video Games, everything else earthly life has !! A Perfect Paradise !! No Evil or Suffering

Correction, My Post/Comment of June 21,2017 on this blog , slight spelling mistake on my part, No Need for Condoms or Birth Control in Heaven, and since Christians will have
Physical Bodies in Heaven, Solid Physical Bodies, of Flesh,Blood,Bones, only Perfect Glorified Physical Bodies, No Disease or Imperfections, Since Christians will Eat Food & Drink Beverages in Heaven, I hope they can eat all they want & never gain a pound, but would Christians have to Eliminate Waste in Heaven, That would be Gross , but Countless Christians want there to be Sexual Intercourse & Lovemaking in Heaven ,

It really is Very Sad when in this Life on Earth Many Christians with Mental illness, Christians with Mental and/or Physical Conditions & Disabilities often cannot have the Sex Lives & Love Lives & Intimate Relationships that they want and Need for Good Mental & Physical Health, It really is sad that often they have to go many many years and decades upon decades without Sex, at least when these Disabled Christians Ultimately Pass Away, In the Christian Heaven, Both the "Intermediate Heaven" & Eternal Heaven, these Christians should be Able to Get the Intimate Relationships & Sex & Sex Lives they were unable to have in their Earthly Lives,

Just heard about it earlier this Morning, Playboy Magazine Founder
Hugh Hefner has died at the age of 91 on Wednesday September 27, 2017 of Natural causes,
The death of Hugh Hefner probably has Many Christians asking themselves ?
"Is there Sex in Heaven ?" And I agree, there definitely Needs to be
Sexual Intercourse & Lovemaking with Physical Bodies, for Christians in BOTH the
"Intermediate Heaven" Christians go directly when they die, as well as the Eternal Heaven !!
We should also think about the many young people in America & Worldwide, men & women under the age of 18, who tragically die in accidents or are killed or murdered, some of them die while they are still Virgins, never having had Sex, it's sad that they died young, but also sad that they died Virgins, if they never had Sex in their Earthly Lives, why would God Deny them Sex in Heaven ? In Heaven, In the Christian Heaven , there should be Sex & Intimate Relationships for Everyone , Of course Heaven will be about Many Different Hobbies & Interests of Earthly Life, but also Fellowship & Friendships with Other Christians, Family,Friends & Loved Ones, Making New Friends, Worship of God & Jesus !!! Heaven will be an Amazing Adventure, Indeed, The Ultimate Adventure

RIP Hugh Hefner !!

A Good Question I have is this, since people have different Desires, I ask this,
In the Christian Heaven, In Both the "Intermediate Heaven" and the Eternal Heaven, since
Randy Alcorn states "In Heaven there's no frustration of desire" People have Different Hobbies & Interests & Desires, For Example, In Heaven, what if some Men desire the Legendary actress & Sex Symbol Marilyn Monroe, but what if Marilyn Monroe doesn't desire or like the same Men ? How would God Reconcile that ? How would that balance out ? My Mother was a Huge fan of Marilyn Monroe, but as a Christian I will say that Myself & Other Christians hope and pray that The Lord Jesus Christ, returns to Earth Real Soon & Eliminates all Human Suffering & Evil Once and for All !! Imagine, A Perfect World, No More Crime, No More War, No More Poverty, or Hunger or Mental or Physical Disease, No Loneliness, No Animal Cruelty, No Natural Disasters, No More Hatred or Racism, No More Violence, No Fear or Uncertainty, No More Injustice, The Earth would be a Perfect Utopian Paradise, Speaking of Marilyn Monroe, Modern Day Blonde Models like Playboy Model
Lindsey Pelas, & Elle Johnson the Model from Park City,Utah, USA are like the Marilyn Monroe's of the 21st Century !!

Unknown said...

What I meant in my post of November 1, 2017 is, if some men in Heaven desire
Marilyn Monroe, and since Randy Alcorn says "In Heaven there's no frustration of desire" what if some men in Heaven desire Marilyn Monroe, yet what if Marilyn Monroe doesn't like or desire those same men back ? How would God reconcile that ? How would that balance out ? You Know the point I am trying to make ?

Unknown said...

I would also like to point out that in the August 1998 Issue of Playboy Magazine
U.S. Edition, the August 1998 Issue of Playboy Magazine with
Downtown Julie Brown on the Front Cover and as a Pictorial, in this Issue there is a cartoon with a naked man & woman sitting on a cloud in Heaven and they are about to have Sex, they both have solid Physical bodies of flesh, blood & bones, and they both have Halo's over their heads, the man says to the woman "Somehow I always envisioned heaven as a place where one wouldn't have to use a condom" I get the Impression from this Cartoon that the man & woman on the cloud are both Christians, and since they are on a Cloud in this Playboy Cartoon, it would be the "Intermediate Heaven" according to Christian Theology,

Unknown said...

I'd also like to add that Myself and Other Christians feel that Sexual Intercourse & Sexual Relations/Lovemaking with Physical Bodies should Definitely Exist in BOTH the
"Intermediate Heaven" Christians Go Directly when they die, and in the
Eternal Heaven , but if there is a "Millennial Golden age of one thousand years" on Earth, Sexual Intercourse & Lovemaking with Physical Bodies should also Definitely Exist during the Millennial Golden Age , but as I was saying, all the Poor Souls in America & Worldwide, Christians with Mental illness, and other Mental and/or Physical Conditions & Disabilities, Not all Disabilities are Visible, Many of them cannot find willing Sexual Partners, and have to go for many many years, sometimes even decades upon decades without Sex, because sometimes they live in Nations where Prostitution is illegal, and they cannot Legally pay for Sex with a Sex Worker or Another Consenting Adult without Fear of Being Arrested,Criminal Prosecution & Persecution & Public Humiliation, and not everyone has the time and money to Travel to places where Sex Work/Prostitution is Legal, the year 2017 is almost over, now let's say if the Second Coming of Jesus Christ were to Occur 500 years from Now, Christians with Mental and/or Physical Conditions & Disabilities who could barely get Sex in their Earthly Lives, if these Disabled Christians were to pass away later in this Century, the 21st Century, they should be Able to Get the Sex & Intimate Relationships & Sex Lives/Love Lives they were unable to have in their Earthly Lives Immediately when they pass away, in the "Intermediate Heaven" they should Not have to Wait an Additional 500 or more years for the Second Coming of Christ and the Eternal Heaven on Earth for them to Have the Sex & Relationships that they Want & Need !!! Mr. Gruber, how would you respond if some Christians said your Arguments for Sexual Intercourse in Heaven, are too Worldly or Carnal or Fleshy/Sinful in Nature ? What would your Response Be ? All Human Beings Deserve to have a Great Sex Life/Love Life, as Playboy Magazine has stated years ago, It's about Sex & Lovemaking but also about Relationships,Companionship & Friendship , I have read online Scientific Articles saying that Loneliness will Literally Kill people quicker than Obesity, The Research shows that Loneliness really is deadly for many people, people need Intimate Relationships , and lack of intimate relationships & Sex really does Cause Many people to Die Young & pass away at young ages, People were Not meant to be alone, Merry Christmas, Best Wishes for 2018 !!

with a foreword by Gabriel Fackre , this book can be ordered on Amazon.com , this book discusses the Topic of "Christian Universalism" and if the Bible teaches or doesn't teach, if all Human beings that ever lived will ultimately be Saved and in Heaven, the question of if those who died without Christ, are they doomed forever, or will they ultimately be saved and in Heaven, will all Human beings, Christian & Non-Christian alike ultimately be in Heaven, this book gives arguments for and against Universalism and let's the reader decide, I guess ultimately God alone knows, but people have many different interpretations of the Bible ,
There is a great deal of Confusion over the nature of Hell in the Bible, What the Bible really teaches about Hell, part of the Confusion is the Different Words translated "Hell" , Sheol,Hades,Gehenna, etc, the following is from the foreword of the book
"Universal Salvation? The Current Debate"

"Will God one day save all people through Christ's atoning work? That is the question at the heart of the debate in this volume -- a debate sure to challenge readers, whatever their current perspective.

Featuring evangelical writers of exceptional insight and sensitivity, Universal Salvation? offers a conversation worth everyone's attention. The volume opens with a rigorous three-part defense of Christian universalism by philosopher Thomas Talbott, who argues that Scripture teaches the ultimate salvation of all people, including those in hell. Gabriel Fackre in his foreword calls Talbott's work "the most thoughtfully wrought argument for universalism to date from within the contemporary evangelical community." The rest of the book gathers incisive responses to Talbott by Christian scholars from different disciplines, who evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of Talbott's arguments, take his thought in new directions, or explain why they think he is mistaken. Talbott then responds to his critics.

The aim of this volume is not to persuade people that universalism is true but to open up a fairer debate on a controversial subject of continuing importance to theologians and nontheologians alike. By exploring universal salvation from biblical, philosophical, theological, and historical perspectives, the book helps readers think through the issues more carefully than has been possible with resources previously available. " I have many friends who are Non-Christians so I am concerned about their Ultimate fate

He implies that because there is no marriage that there is no sex. I don't think that's true. But i would like to point out that no one can say for certain if there is going to be sex in heaven or not. But i would like to argue that there is sex in heaven. Firstly, in the beginning Adam and Eve had sex even in God's presence before the fall. Yes, they did it for procreation but had we not have fallen would God have terminated the order to be fruitful and mutiply once we reached a good number of people living? Additionally, we all know we will have a body in heaven and that we will eat and sing and celebrate. Let's focus on the eating part. Would we have to eat in order to love after the resurrection? If we don't, then we will be eating just for pleasure. However, God is with us so there is no need for additional pleasures. Yet, if we eat food we don't need to eat we are participating in receiving unnecessary pleasure. Sex is used for procreation but it is pleasurable, too. To say that food will be in heaven though we don't need it but sex won't be because we don't need it doesn't make sense. Furthermore, the argument that states God has something better than sex is bad, too, if He doesn't do the same substitution with food also, providing something better than food. "

BINGO!!!!! You nailed it!
I've been saying these things all along. I can't say it any better than you did, only to elaborate on what you said... The comparison of food to sex is spot on. Commentators and preachers have argued all along that there is "no sex" in Heaven because of "no need" for it based on no need to procreate. First of all, the Bible never actually says there is no procreation in Heaven, but let's say for the sake of argument that there isn't. Sex is also euphorically pleasurable and is an essential component of the bonding between two human beings in the most sacred human relationship we have on this earth. To compare that to the pleasure of eating is like comparing an Olympic Gold Medal to a toy from a Crackerjack box. But let's examine the element of need. As I stated above, preachers have been forever preaching no "need" for sex because of no procreation. However, since there's no death we obviously won't starve, so there's no need for nutrition either. Then what is food for? Why is it in Heaven if it's not needed? Because it's pleasurable? Why is one thing that's not needed in Heaven, and not the other, if both are pleasurable? And, one is far more meaningful and fulfilling than the other.

Also, you said the "something is 'better' than sex" argument is a bad argument. You nailed it again! Preachers have been saying that forever. However, in order for something to be "better" than something else it has to be comparable in some way. You can't compare two totally different things. I can say I like strawberries better than bananas because those are like things (both are fruits). If I said I like nails better than bananas I would sound like an idiot. That means that if something in Heaven really is "better" than sex, it has to be sex-like in some way. In other words, it is a form of sex. "

The Below similar comment was given by Delphiprogrammer in response to the YouTube video
"Heaven/Will there be Sex in Heaven?" by Lead Pastor Mark, by Christ Community Church on May 13, 2014 Delphi types about Pastor Mark's answer
"That's kind of a lame answer. People say that all the time, that what we have in Heaven will be "better than sex". In order for something to be better than something else, it has to be comparable in some way. If I say bananas are better than strawberries, that makes sense because they're like things. If I say nails are better than strawberries people would look at me like an idiot. It's the same thing as comparing our earthly passions with some form of standing on clouds singing "Kumbaya" or something of that sort. If something in Heaven really is "better than sex", then it has to LIKE it in some way. In other words, it is a FORM of sex!"

"Read my latest post on "Is there marriage in Heaven". I went on a writing frenzy today!

My point at the end is this. After the Millennium, when we live in an "Isaiah 65" world, God is going to create the next upgrade to this life. Does a software upgrade ever have less features and options than earlier versions? Of course not! Why, then, would God give LESS options of companionship, love and human passion than he did in the first earth? The problem is that the western church is hung up on the physical universe. They think it's evil. They want us to buy into a stoic, mundane, non-descript image of "Heaven" that features "worshiping" God and nothing else, without defining what that even means. You're not supposed to love anything but God. However, if God was really like that then why did He create this beautiful world teaming with life, and man and woman to enjoy it with each other? He would just sit on a throne surrounded by beings that sing and praise forever. Yet that's how the church wants us to see "Heaven". "

Everybody didn't have the opportunity to experience love, marriage, sex, family and children. Some people marry late in life, some marry but never have children, some marry and divorce and others never get married at all. If God is really a good God and will make it up to people for what they didn't experience in this life --- if indeed "the last shall be first", then how can he do that if he's going to completely remake Heaven with some (core!) pieces missing?

Let's say I have two sons, and I give one of them a bran new car. I tell the other son he can have the car when the first son is ready to buy a new one. Is that fair? Then let's say I tell the second son that he doesn't "need" a car because I'll give him something "better" than his own car; rides everywhere he needs to go. Not only that, but he can "fellowship with his father" while going there. Do you get the picture? " well said Delphi Countless people would agree with Delphi , that it sadly causes horrible,Terrible emotional, psychological & mental suffering in people when they are unable to get the Sex Lives,Love Lives & Intimate Relationships & Companionship that they want , at least in Heaven, everyone should be able to get what they want & need, and a man named

"People who say there's no heterosexual companionship in Heaven... no "marriage" (i.e. love companions like Adam and Eve were), are so full of self righteousness it's pathetic. I call them "drive-by" commentators because they post a web page, get their "jab" in about Matthew 22:30, and then exit with no chance for rebuttal from the reader. Most have no comments, and the ones that do will delete yours if you disagree with them.

You're correct to point out that they completely MISS the book of Genesis. God said it is not good for the man to be alone. He said be fruitful and multiply. He said let the son leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh. When He created Eve for Adam He said it is very good! What part of that don't people understand? What part of plain English is incomprehensible to them?

One woman who used to be in my group, probably in her mid 40s or so, struggled a lot with the load of crap they feed us. She was in a loveless marriage and unable to have her own children, and she put it this way: In Heaven is supposed to be complete healing for everyone... the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk. What is "healing" for a childless, not by choice Christian woman like me? A "certificate" from the Wizard of Oz? She compared it to a blind man being put in a pitch black room and told, "You can see now.". Does that sound like something God would do?"

Christians base their whole "no sex in Heaven" concept on a single passage that is copied in 3 verses in the New Testament; Matthew 22:30, Mark 12:18 and Luke 20:35. Those three verses don't even say exactly the same thing, the third one (in Luke) elaborates a little more and says something that changes the meaning slightly.

Basically, a group of religious leaders called Sadducees approach Jesus with a question to trick him. They weave a story of a widow who marries seven brothers in succession according to Mosaic law at the time, each dies without bearing children. Finally, she dies herself. "Whose wife will she be in the resurrection, for they all had her as wife?". Their web is this: According to law, she was required to marry all seven brothers, but the same Mosaic law forbade polygamy for women. If there is a resurrection, she breaks the law by virtue of obeying it. If she doesn't marry the brothers, she breaks her marriage vow, but if she does she's a polygamist. Therefore, there can be no resurrection according to their argument. Jesus answered by saying there is no "marrying or giving in marriage" in the resurrection. Their question was so far from asking if there is "marriage in Heaven", that it's unlikely that Jesus was actually teaching about our relationship life.

Christian commentators expand on that verse with all kinds of reasons and explanations why Jesus said there is no marriage (which he didn't actually say -- no marrying is not the same as no marriage. Why?). They say there is no "need" for procreation because we don't die, that we are "married to Jesus" in lieu of individual love companions, that everyone will love everyone the same therefore there is no need for individual companionship -- NONE OF THAT is in the Bible!

They have no answer for the fact that God created sex in the first place, that in the Garden of Eden he said it is not good for a man to be alone, that he said be fruitful and multiply, that he said that a son should leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh. If they answer that at all, they simply brush it off as "old creation", and claim that in Heaven God has "something new". However, why would God abandon his original creation that is so beautiful? If you argue they just go round and round. So, I personally believe the church has been teaching us a lie about Heaven all these years. The Devil has only one way to keep you out of Heaven --- to make you not want to go there. What better way than to convince you that God will take away your most cherished relationship if you're married --- or deny you your most desired one if you're not?"

This video was made a decade ago. The woman authoring it is now 29, probably married, probably has kids, and I doubt if she even watches it any more.

"Will we have sex in Heaven?" is one of the hot-button topics of the Christian faith. The other is people burning for eternity in Hell if they "don't 'accept' Jesus". Those two beliefs seem to drive the Christian faith, but also, paradoxically, are the main reason why most who don't accept it are kept away. I have strong beliefs about both topics that don't align with traditional "church" teaching. If anyone still reads this and is interested, I urge you to watch any of the videos by these authors: Godrules, TheGospelStuff, Zonation, Prophets Among Us, Tentmaker777 and Robin Parry. The first four address marriage/sex in Heaven, the last two address eternal punishment."

"+MrArchangel1977 You are wrong, that thinking that the physical is evil is Gnosticism, it is not biblical, the kingdom of god, which is among man before the resurrection is spiritual, but after the RESURRECTION ie the physical resurrection of your PHYSICAL BODY, we will enter into a PHYSICAL HEAVEN, and then a new earth WHICH IS PHYSICAL. Jesus Christ came in the flesh, and left IN THE FLESH...we will never just be spirits, we'll be bodily creatures with a soul and spirit within us, but after the resurrection, we'll have immortal bodies, but we'll still have a digestive system, if Jesus could eat and drink after his resurrection."

Jeffrey Andrew Winters said...

The website defendinginerrancy.com/bible-solutions/ , has an entry for
1 Corinthians 15:50 that says
"1 CORINTHIANS 15:50—IF FLESH AND BLOOD CANNOT ENTER HEAVEN, THEN HOW CAN THERE BE A PHYSICAL RESURRECTION?
PROBLEM: The Bible speaks of the resurrection of the physical body from the grave (John 5:28–29), which is composed of “flesh and bones” (Luke 24:39) and which leaves an empty tomb behind (Matt. 28:6). However, according to this verse, “flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.”

SOLUTION: To conclude from this phrase that the resurrection body will not be a body of physical flesh is without biblical justification. First of all, the very next phrase omitted from the above quotation clearly indicates that Paul is speaking not of flesh as such, but of corruptible flesh. For he adds, “nor does corruption inherit incorruption” (v. 50). So, Paul is not affirming that the resurrection body will not have flesh, but that it will not have perishable flesh.

Second, to convince the frightened disciples that He was not an immaterial spirit (Luke 24:37), Jesus emphatically told them, “Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself! Touch Me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have” (Luke 24:39, niv). Peter declared that the resurrection body would be the same body of flesh that went into the tomb and never saw corruption (Acts 2:31). Paul also reaffirmed this truth in a parallel passage (Acts 13:35). And John implies that it is against Christ to deny that He remains “in the flesh” even after His resurrection (1 John 4:2; 2 John 7).

Third, this conclusion cannot be avoided by claiming that Jesus’ resurrection body had flesh and bones, but not flesh and blood. For if it had flesh and bones, then it was a literal, material body, whether or not it had blood. “Flesh and bones” stresses the solidity of Jesus’ physical post-resurrection body. They are more obvious signs of tangibility than blood, which cannot be as easily seen or touched.

Fourth, the phrase “flesh and blood” in this context apparently means mortal flesh and blood, that is, a mere human being. This is supported by parallel uses in the NT. When Jesus said to Peter, “Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you” (Matt. 16:17), He could not have been referring to the mere substance of the body as such, which obviously could not reveal that He was the Son of God. Rather, the most natural interpretation of 1 Corinthians 15:50 seems to be that humans, as they now are, earth-bound and perishable creatures, cannot have a place in God’s glorious, heavenly kingdom." People have said look at the 1 Corinthians 15:50 in context , it is speaking of corruption vs incorruption

Question #7 deals with Sex in Heaven, Question #8 deals with Masturbation,
I personally think there will be Sex & Lovemaking in Heaven For Christians, but for the sake of argument, let's suppose there isn't Sex in Heaven for Christians, I think it would be Just & Fair of God to make certain exceptions, exceptions to the rule, and allow Sex in Heaven for Christians who could barely get Sex in their Earthy Lives, And Allow Sex in Heaven For Christians who had Mental illness, or other Mental and/or Physical Disabilities & Conditions or Social Awkwardness, or other Factors in their Earthly Lives that made it difficult or impossible for them to Get Sex & Relationships(Especially if they lived in Areas where Sex Work/Prostitution was illegal) or if they were young and died in accidents while still Virgins, etc, What do you think ? As a Christian I still think there will be Sex & Lovemaking in Heaven, along with the other things we enjoy of our Present Earthly Lives, & Worship of God,Jesus & The Holy Spirit in Heaven, Heaven will be about Many Things, it will be an Amazing Adventure, Indeed the Ultimate Adventure , and of course in this Discussion, I am referring to BOTH Heavens in Christian Doctrine, The Intermediate Heaven Christians go to directly & immediately when they die, and the Eternal Heaven, the New Heavens & The New Earth

1) God said in the beginning, "It is not good for a man to be alone", He created Eve for Adam and said "It is very good". God does not change his mind. 2) He said, "be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth" and "let the son leave the father and mother and join with his wife and the two shall become one flesh" BEFORE there was sin. 3) Why would Jesus perform His first miracle at a wedding, and the Bible place so much emphasis on marriage if it's so insignificant that God only allows it for the 70 year life span out of trillions and trillions of years of eternity? Mathematically that's 0% of your lifespan (x/n as n goes to infinity is 0). 4) Why did Jesus say, "Whosoever God joins together let no man put asunder" if God is going to separate people in Heaven? 5) Jesus never said we won't BE married in Heaven, He said we won't GET married there. 6) "Given in marriage" does not mean married, it means given by a family member to an arranged partner. 7) The Bible never says that angels are all male or genderless. 8) Jesus comparison of us to angels is for longevity, not gender. We will live forever like angels, not we are sexless like angels. 8) Saying that no marrying in Heaven means there is no romantic relationships or love bonds between individuals is convoluted logic. It's like saying, "God is Love, Love is Blind, Ray Charles is Blind, Ray Charles is therefore God". Saying there is no marrying in Heaven is not the same as saying there is no male/female bonding. People who claim that simply don't understand the Bible or the nature of God. 9) Angels actually do have sex drive and reproductive capability, demonstrated in the Old Testament when they came down to earth and mated with female humans to produce the Nephelim. 10) The Sadducees had NO interest whatever in learning if there is marriage in Heaven. They asked a ridiculous question to try to trick Jesus into discrediting his own teaching on resurrection. 11) If Jesus wanted to teach us about our relationship status in Heaven why didn't he preach a sermon on it? His only input on that topic is an answer to the Sadducees trick question. 12) If you were an architect proposing plans for a new public park at a town-hall, would you wait till a post-meeting Q&A with reporters to say, "Oh, by the way, there is no playground for children"? Why would Jesus teach something so relevant in the same manner?"

+lin dag GOD-ORDAINED sex exists in this life. GOD-ORDAINED sex will eternally exist in Heaven. 1st JOHN 2:16-17 references sin. 1st JOHN 2:16-17 does not reference GOD-ORDAINED sex in this life or in Heaven.

1st JOHN 2:16, "...not of the Father...".

1st JOHN 2:16 references things that are not from THE HEAVENLY FATHER.

The doctrine that teaches that there will not be sex in Heaven is not from THE HEAVENLY FATHER.

THE HEAVENLY FATHER WANTS the following SCRIPTURES to be understood in all of its GOD-ORDAINED contexts, but not in contexts that support the precepts of men.

1st JOHN 2:16, "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."

1st JOHN 2:17, "And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."

MATTHEW 15:19, "But in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men."

The English word "lust" in 1st JOHN 2:16 and 1st JOHN 2:17 was translated from the Greek word epithumia (Strong's 1939) which means desire. The Greek word epithumia should be understood in context. Epithumia is not always a sinful thing. JESUS CHRIST HAD EPITHUMIA (DESIRE). In LUKE 22:15, the English word "desire" was translated from the Greek noun epithumia (Strong's 1939), and the English word "desired" was translated from the Greek verb epithumeo (Strong's 1937).

LUKE 22:15, And HE SAID unto them, "With DESIRE I HAVE DESIRED to eat this passover with you before I SUFFER:".

Yet Moses Says in Exodus that the Righteous will be blessed to the 1000th generation. Even Adam wont reach his 1000th generation of offspring until well after the Millenial reign. but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. Exodus 20:6"

"Tom is exactly right! We hang the Ten Commandments in every courtroom (or used to), and yet in them is a statement that God will bless those who obey him for 1000 generations. There aren't 1000 generations in all of Bible history by any definition of a "generation", even if you throw in the 1000 years.

Furthermore, God created us as sexual beings. That was his original design, BEFORE we fell into sin. Nowhere does the Bible say there is no sex in Heaven. In fact, Jesus didn't even say there's no marriage in Heaven. He said there is no marryING. or givING in marriage. The common miss-interpretation is that there is no marriage or people given in marriage (i.e. "taken" or "spoken for"). That's not what it says. In Old Testament times being "given in marriage" meant being given by a family member to an arranged partner. It's very easy for people today to miss that because arranged marriage is not practiced in the modern western world.

Also consider that marriage is a contract of law. In Heaven all laws are abolished because the law is written on our hearts. Without the need for a legal contract there is no "marriage" per se, but that doesn't mean there are no relationships between men and women. From a pure legal stand point Adam and Eve were never married. There was no need for a legal contract because there was no one else to cheat on, and without death there was no possibility of betrayal or abandonment. That sounds a lot like Heaven to me, so there would be no marriage contract there for the same reason."

@Hank Bevers Something else I would like to point out about this "marriage in Heaven" thing.

Marriage is a formal contract that gives two people the right to have a certain relationship, giving them certain benefits and requiring certain responsibilities. It is a "license to mate" for humans, if you will. It ensures that families stay together in a hostile world where people, particularly children, rely on one another for survival.

Mating happens throughout the animal kingdom without any "marriage" requirement.

Furthermore, humans naturally form friendships and associations without any formal agreements, "pairing up", if you will, in a non-marital, non-sexual way. We have "best friends" from the time that we're little children. Even though these friendships are non-sexual, they still involve people being more special and closer to some people than to others; so the argument that we won't "marry in Heaven" because everybody will "love everybody the same" is a false argument. People always have and always will be special to those closest to them. There is nothing selfish about it, nor is it "idolatry". If you remove the "license to mate", then these informal pairings between males and females may also include mating. In the perfect world of Heaven there's no need to bound people by law to ensure their survival."

Isaiah 9:7 New International Version (NIV)
7 Of the greatness of his government and peace

He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it

Also on the website for New York Magazine , nymag.com there is an article dated
January 6, 2019 titled "8 Predictions for what the world will Look Like in 20 Years" by Max Read & David Wallace-Wells , one of the predictions by a woman named
Kate Julian states
"Kate Julian: There Will Be a Lot Less Sex and a Lot More Masturbation
In the future, the ebbing of romantic and sexual connections will continue. People will have sex less frequently than they did in the pre-internet era, which will be remembered as a more carnal time. They will have fewer lifetime sexual partners, and they will be more likely to be abstinent. Only a minority of teenagers will have sex of any sort. Masturbation and other varieties of solo sex will continue to be more prevalent than they were before; porn aficionados will enjoy VR sex and sex robots. Like many other aspects of our world in the decades to come, the gap between the haves and have-nots will continue to grow. Those who have many advantages already will be disproportionately likely to find romantic and sexual partners if they desire them and to have fulfilling sex lives. There will be good parts of this: Nonconsensual sex will be far less common than it is today. There will be little to no social stigma attached to being unattached. Those who approach singledom with psychological and financial advantages will flourish. It will be the best time in human history to be single. But there will be less unambiguously positive developments as well: For better and for worse, the birth rate will continue to fall, and those who are less suited to solo life will suffer from profound loneliness.

If you compare Americans’ sex lives today to the sex lives of people of the same age in the early ’90s, people who are now in their 20s are on track to have fewer lifetime sexual partners. They’re having sex less frequently. They’re about two and a half times as likely to be abstinent, and they have launched their sex lives later. It would seem that something is getting in the way of people’s ability or desire to connect to each other physically.

In The Atlantic, I called this a sex recession. Its biggest cause is that more people than not who are under 35 are living without any sort of partner, which is a change from decades past. The most common living arrangement for adults who are under 35 is to be living with a parent, which, I think it is safe to say, is for many of us probably not a great recipe for a superactive and fulfilled sex life.

Other factors include media, broadly — not just social media and not just porn. I would put any kind of digital occupation that makes it less desirable to go out and connect with somebody in person in the same category. It could be Netflix, streaming TV — all of these things coincide with a measured increase in the percentage of people who say that they’ve masturbated in the past week. Among men, that’s doubled since the early ’90s. Among women, it’s tripled.

Another set of causes when we’re looking at teens specifically has to do with the way adolescence has changed: Teenagers are having sex later, and the teen birth rate is a third of what it was in the early ’90s. People are more likely to say their first sexual experience was consensual. People seem to be coming into their 20s with less romantic experience than past cohorts. That can be a really difficult thing to reverse. I’ve never held hands with somebody, I’ve never kissed somebody; how do I do that when I’m 23, 24, 25? A third big category has to do with dating apps, which have become a normal way to meet people in a lot of circles. And yet for some people, they are clearly functioning really poorly and maybe sort of paradoxically actually making it harder to match up with people. That will continue.

Kate Julian is an editor at The Atlantic, where her “The Sex Recession” was a recent cover story." Other Articles online document how millennials and other younger people are having less Sex, All the more Reason there should be Sex in Heaven for Christians

Some people do see the fun in funeral: the funeral of sexual passion.
In Luke 20:36 Jesus states one of the reasons for not marrying and being given in marriage is because the righteous resurrected can’t die anymore but will be like the angels in heaven. God creating sexual relationships before humans sinned and could die contradicts death being a condition for marriage and sex. Only legal customs of marriage were invented after humanity sinned, so thats all Jesus could be refering to, not the union of a man and woman in an intimate sexual relationship. The Greek words used for marrying and being given in marriage, gamousin and gamizontai, refer to two different acts of a legal institution of marriage. This was not needed with the first couple, Adam and Eve, so says nothing about the actual married state. At the beginning God said for us to be fruitful and multiply, with no indication it was to ever stop. He created marriage and sexual passion for spouses and being alone was the one thing God said during the creation account that is not good. God can't change his mind about the ideal state for males and females if he is the same forever. If simply being more aware of God's presence and love makes marriage unnecessary, than God would have had no reason to create gender and sex to fulfil a different kind of intimate desire to begin with, because God and Adam had exactly that kind of relationship we'll have with him in the renewed creation, before Eve was made. If simply being part of God's image is all the justification needed to have gender, then sperm, egg cells, breasts and wombs will be unused, and God doesn't make things for no use. The female figure is designed the way it is to fit babies during birth. keeping a libido is justified.
Angels did have sex and marry as written in genesis 6:1-2, but Jesus said the heirs of eternal life would be like the angels in heaven, where the angels who reproduced were not. But sons of God only ever refers to righteous angels, so if the sons of God were attracted to human women before they left heaven to marry them, and the heirs of eternal life will be like them, he's not teaching that sexual desire will be eliminated forever. Jesus appeals to the conditions at the beginning of creation for why divorce is not acceptible to him in Matthew 19:4-6 and 8, so the initial conditions are God's ideal. What also was part of the conditions before humanity sinned was marriage, sexual relationships and no death. Being alone was the only thing during creation that he specifically said is not good, so it's not irrelevant to him how he originally made everything.
If people interpret Jesus answer to the sadducees as claiming no one will be married anymore, then we can't be married to Jesus after the last resurrection either. The description is given of God as a husband to his people in parts of the old testament, like Hosea, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. That wasn't meant to sever marriages of male and female couples anymore than being described as Jesus bride is in Revelation. Marriage of male and female couples and sexual passion is the most joyful and pleasurable of God's creation, yet so many Christians have claimed that that's the only thing he will not restore, but we get to keep food which is bland by comparison. The ideal of eternal paradise for Christians who are prudes is hell to most other people, including other Christians. Just because some people manage to not care if they can continue having a sinless sexually intimate relationship with someone for eternity, doesn't make it fair to teach that those who do much prefer to keep feelings of sexual attraction and being in love with someone, what many people love most about our existence, should somehow not care.

From Chapter 8 "Sex in Heaven" of the book
"Sex in the Bible: The Untold Truth" by Evan P. Turner ,
Chapter 8 says some important things, on page 173 it says
"When we study scripture, however, the evidence that sex will continue to exist is quite
overwhelming" quoting Genesis 1:28 it says "This important verse proves a critical point- that sex was created before the fall when sin and death entered mankind. From the very beginning, if Adam hadn't sinned, man would have lived forever and walked with God, and sex would have still been part of life. Sex isn't something God created as a result of sin and death entering the world. If God had given Adam and Eve reproductive capabilities to propagate the human race after the fall, then the onus would have been on the author to prove that sex continues in the new heavens and earth. However, this isn't the case. Sex and sexual desire were created before the fall, not after it." the book then quotes
Genesis 1:31 and says "The burden of proof is actually on those who believe sex is temporary and will no longer exist when all things are restored with a new heaven and earth(Acts 3:21; Rev. 21:1) The antisex proponents sometimes refer to Genesis 4:1, where the scriptures state that Eve conceived Cain after the fall, so they conclude that sex didn't exist until after Adam and Eve were cursed. Page 174 says "This conclusion ignores Genesis 1:28, where God told them to be fruitful and multiply before the fall."
& "The other problem they have is that man was made in the image of God. When the scriptures speak of the image of God, they refer to the attributes of God: love, patience, wisdom, forgiveness, and the ability to create life because men and women procreate through sex. Here are three positions that characterize the prevailing Christian view on sex in heaven:
1. God created sex so men and women could procreate, because death and sin entered the world. This position ignores Genesis 1:28; more importantly, scripture doesn't state or even hint that this view is correct. They also have main gaining an attribute of God, the ability to create life through procreation as a result of sin.
2. Some believe sex existed before the fall, but it will no longer be needed when creation is restored and we live in a new heaven and earth(Acts 3:21; Rev. 21:1) They run into a similar problem; man would actually be regressing with his relationship with God. In this scenario man would have originally had the procreative attribute of God before the fall. He would keep this attribute during the fall but lose it when he is restored with a new body
(Phil. 3-20-21) But is man really restored if he loses an attribute he originally possessed?
3. The only scriptural solution is that man was created in the image of God before the fall, and this included the ability to procreate. This attribute stayed with man after the fall, and it will be with him when he is restored.
"Not only is that view that sex was created solely to propagate the human race not scriptural; it also ignores the fact that God gave us the ability to have an orgasm while having sex purely for the purpose of pleasure, when he, in fact, didn't have to do so. How many Christians who hold this view have sex only for procreation and stop having sex once they're finished having children? Sex is part of our nature, it's one of many attributes that makes us human" Page 175 says "If sex were only for procreation, why does the desire for it still exist when people are sterile or past the age to reproduce? The desire might decrease as we get older, but it's still there.

Jeffrey Andrew Winters said...

The most common scriptural evidence that there will be no sex in heaven is
Matthew 22:30 "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven" Most Christians who use this verse as proof ignore that the question asked of Jesus was about marriage, not about sex(Matt. 22:24-28). The Sadducees didn't ask him whether there would be any sex in heaven or whether we would be sexless. Jesus said only that there would be no marriage in heaven, yet people continue to take this verse out of context and say sex will no longer exist, or that we will be genderless like angels. Not only are angels not sexless, as we will later see, but they offer further proof that sex is part of being human and will still exist in heaven."
Isaiah 56:4-4 is quoted on page 176-177 and page 177 says about that Isaiah quote
"This is further proof that God has nothing against anyone's defects and that when we're all raised, our bodies will be perfect.... page 177 also says
"The traditional teachings of most Christians have Jesus marrying the ecclesia for eternity and having spiritual intercourse, but with men and women either being sexless or having sexual organs and no sex drive, none of these teachings make sense. The
spiritual/physical duality is ignored. How can there be spiritual unity between Christ and the ecclesia but none between men and women? So we will be one in spirit with Christ, even as he is one with the Father, but men and women won't be one physically ever again? One must ask the obvious question: Why did God even give us bodies? Shouldn't we just be floating spirits forever? Why would he give us bodies in the resurrection if we won't be able to enjoy the things we can do now with them? Wouldn't it make more sense for us to have even more enjoyment with them than we do now? We will have bodies and be able to eat, drink, and play sports, but we apparently won't be able to engage in sex. We have already seen that sex outside of marriage isn't a sin, so the idea that sex won't exist in heaven because there will no longer be marriage is false. Marriage is defined by death, but in the resurrection we will all be made immortal; marriage between men and women will no longer be necessary because we will never die. Since God instituted marriage to be for life, when those who are dead are raise from the dead and those who are still alive are made immortal,we will be released from our marriage vows."
Page 178 says "The fact that everyone will be released from his or her marriage vow doesn't mean people who were alive and married during past ages can't have sex together in heaven. Does anyone really believe God would stop Adam and Eve from reuniting? With marriage ceasing to exist in the kingdom of God, this would mean that no one will belong exclusively to one person. But this doesn't mean that sexual relationships won't exist"

Jeffrey Andrew Winters said...

Page 178 of the Evan P. Turner book also says
"There won't be any more sin, so no one will take advantage of anybody: neither jealousy nor envy will be present. We need to keep in mind that marriage is until death. It's important to understand that Israel is married to God and that Jesus is married to the ecclesia. These marriages will last forever because God cannot and won't die. Though Jesus died, he wasn't betrothed to the ecclesia until after he rose from the dead and was made immortal.
Scripturally, both of the marriages to God and Jesus are valid even in the postresurrection world because there's only one God and one Messiah. There will never be any other. On the other hand, marriages between men and women won't be allowed because we will never die, and there will be innumerable men and women. To place limits on these possibilities for eternity in a sinless universe would be odd, to say the least.
During the forty days Jesus walked the earth after his resurrection, he demonstrated that he still had a physical body that had the same functions and anatomy it did before he died. So we can say Jesus's body still had a digestive system, as he proved when he ate fish and a honeycomb(Luke 24:41-43) In addition, he still had a brain and a heart, and we must conclude he had blood in his resurrected body. Many believe that Jesus's stating he had a body of flesh and bone means we won't have blood. However, if you believe Jesus's body rose from the dead and left the tomb, it's hard to argue that his anatomy changed."
Remember, when God created man, he said his creation was good; there was nothing wrong with the flesh-and-blood body God had given Adam, but God cursed it when he sinned. God place the curse on Adam and all his descendants, who are under the curse of death, meaning that our bodies are perishable, corrupted by sin. But because of Jesus's victory over death, our bodies, which God himself said were anatomically good, will be restored and will be incorruptible, imperishable, and spiritual."
page 179 says
"This is the context in which Paul wrote 1 Corinthians 15:42-44.
and says "If we are changed when we are resurrected from the dead or when we are alive at the Second Coming, our anatomy won't be. We must be changed because of the curse God placed on us as the result of sin. Our Current cursed bodies of flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom, but our glorified flesh-and-blood bodies can. When Paul spoke of a spiritual(v 44)body, he didn't mean we will be floating spirits-- to take Paul literally would be an oxymoron because you cannot have an invisible corporeal body."
Page 180 says "When he spoke of a spiritual body, he was talking only in terms of a body that can inherit God's kingdom, which will still contain a physical or material, corporeal universe."
"Our bodies will also be scar-free. Some Christians believe we will keep our scars because Jesus showed Thomas the holes in his hands and the scar in his wounded side. He did this to prove who he was because when he fist appeared to his disciples after his resurrection, they didn't recognize him(Luke 24:15-30) It's hard to believe Jesus could spend so much time with his disciples, and they couldn't recognize the holes in his wrists and the scars on his face. More than likely, Jesus had the ability to show his scars from the crucifixion, and he appeared to them without showing them at first. He later showed them to Thomas to prove who he was. We should remember that he had scars all over his body, his back was whipped, his face was beaten, and he had a crown of thorns on his head. Yet Christians believe he kept these scars when he appeared with his disciples: that they didn't recognize him with the scars on his head from the crown of thorns and bruises on his face is absurd"

Jeffrey Andrew Winters said...

"John 20:19 states that he suddenly appeared in a locked room; it doesn't say he walked through the door like a ghost. Jesus's body didn't see decay(Acts 2:31) he rose to life in the same body he was crucified in, which means he still had blood in his body. His anatomy was the same, but he had the ability to do certain deeds, such as appear at will, which he apparently couldn't have done before. Some Christians believe blood is inherently evil, but if this is the case, why were we purchased by the blood of Jesus(1 Pet. 1:18-19)? His blood was also innocent(Acts20:28) Why would this be the case if blood were evil?
Jesus's body was innocent because he never sinned, this also includes his flesh, Fallen man, on the other hand, has been cursed, so our flesh and blood are corrupted as a result of sin and God's curse. This is why we must be changed through Jesus Christ, who proves there's nothing inherently wrong or evil about the human body but that it is good just as God first declared it to be in Genesis 1:31. Procreation, which is a form of exercising dominion over the earth and God's other creations, will continue."

Page 184 of the book by Evan P. Turner says
"Given the fact that angels were recorded as having sex and that we will be like them, it's safe to say that sex will exist in the new heavens and earth. Since God declared that his creation of man and woman was good, then we can logically expect sex to still exist. We know circumcision was a shadow of circumcision of the heart. We can also conclude that men will be uncircumcised in the resurrection because God declared everything he made was good, and that included the uncircumcised Adam. Despite what many Christian apologists say, God didn't command circumcision for health reasons, and most doctors agree it is an unnecessary procedure. Common sense should lead one to believe that a circumcised penis isn't as sensitive as one that isn't, which would lead to more sensation during sex. When God commanded the
Israelites to get circumcised, it was a temporary maiming that God will restore when we are resurrected to immortality. Page 185 says "Not only should we expect sex to be present in the resurrection to immortality, but it should be more pleasurable than it is now. "
"The trap many Christians fall into regarding God's laws of sex is that they are more interested in the temporal than in the eternal, and yet patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit. We either have this fruit, or we don't. Instead of a divorced woman staying single and seeking reconciliation with her husband, she and unfortunately many professing Christians would rather disobey God's laws for selfish, temporary pleasure than obey him and be rewarded in the resurrection, even thought all current earthly pleasures will still exist and be even better than they are now. Focusing on what's temporary and disobeying God will always result in pain and suffering, as King David discovered." On page 145 of
"Chapter 5" of this book it says on page 145 that "as mentioned earlier, sex is biblically defined as penile-vaginal penetration"

The webcache description for the book "Sex in Heaven: Boundless, Joyful Celebration" by
Dr. Arnold David Coleman says
"Have you accepted your default destination after your death because someone told you that there would be no sex in heaven? Think again! Why would the Creator of sex refuse to allow anyone this wonderful pleasure if they never had the opportunity to experience it on earth? Peter Kreeft (Catholic)is certain it will be there, and Billy Graham (Protestant) who was interviewed by the late Larry King is fairly certain it will be allowed there. This book can help you explore several other creatures which demonstrated the creativity of our Creator to enable you to realize that we have only seen a very small hint of what may be possible in heaven. As you will learn more about how to enhance your intimacy here on earth you may look forward to reconnecting with those you could not even get close to on earth where no one will reject you or shun you, but rather welcome and become intimate with you in several ways.Dr. Arnold David Coleman is a military veteran who was blessed by U.S"

, Another good book about Christianity & Sexuality that can be ordered from Amazon.com is titled "Fill These Hearts: God, Sex, and the Universal Longing" by Christopher West, published in 2012, the Amazon.com description of the book says -

"The bestselling author, speaker, and teacher of John Paul II's Theology of the Body explores the yearning we all have for God and each other.

Fill These Hearts is a book about desire. Not trivial wants or superficial cravings, but the most vital powers of body and soul, sexuality and spirituality, that haunt us and compel us on our search for something. Weaving life-altering lessons together from classical and contemporary art, pop music, movies, and the Christian mystical tradition, popular theologian Christopher West explores the ancient but largely forgotten idea that the restless, erotic yearnings we feel in both our bodies and our spirits reveal the cry of our hearts for God. Along the way, West blows the lid off the idea of Christianity as a repressive, anti-sex religion by demonstrating that Christ came to stretch and inflame our desire for love and union to the point of infinity."

An Article I just found, on the website merionwest.com there is an article on
12/07/2019 titled "University Professor: the Reason Academia is useless" by a person using the pseudonym "Junior Torrent" the article starts with the words -

"“Socrates and all the other great Greek masters emphasized the importance of leisure as part of education. In our Calvinist world, this has become a major sin.”

If you think about it, most Christian visions of heaven are nightmarish (no sex, singing hymns all day). One particularly frightful prospect of heaven is captured by the popular T-shirt: Jesus is coming, look busy! Alas, the Lord doth not like slackers. So, I suppose that in heaven, you have to pretend that you are working, at least while the big boss is around.
On Earth, it is not that different. Anthropologist David Graeber has been aware of this for quite a while, and his clever 2018 book Bullsh-t Jobs goes on to explain how a growing sector of our advanced capitalist economy is about pretending to be doing a lot, but actually doing little." Anyone can do an online search to read the rest of this article, Google or Bing Search Engines, it's really very sad when many Christians because of Mental illness, Social Awkwardness, & Other Mental and/or Physical Conditions & Disabilities or other Reasons are unable to have the type of Sex Lives they want in this Life, at least in Heaven, things should be Better for Everyone !!!! My Christian idea/vision of Heaven is NOT nightmarish like what is described in the opening to this article

The website www.christianheadlines.com on December 12, 2019 has an article titled
"No Lies Necessary: Christianity Is Good for You"

John Stonestreet | BreakPoint.org | Thursday, December 12, 2019 it says

"Belief in God is good for you … and not just in the eternal long run. There’s a powerful link between religious devotion and happiness, mental health, and participation in community.
Earlier this year, Pew Research found that actively religious people report being happier, on average, than both atheists and “nones”—i.e. those who claim no religious affiliation. The religiously observant are also less likely to engage in risky behavior like premarital sex, drinking, and smoking, and more likely by far to join non-religious groups like charities, clubs, and civic associations. In other words, there’s a clear and well-documented connection between an active faith and nearly all of the accepted measures of personal well-being.
And, of course, beyond the belonging, beauty, and moral certainty faith in God brings, religious people enjoy hope in the face of struggle, suffering, and even death.
But what if you don’t actually believe in God? What if you don’t think there is life after death? Can you still enjoy these benefits and, for that matter, pass them on to your kids?

It may sound like a silly question, but psychoanalyst Erica Komisar recently offered a serious answer in the Wall Street Journal. She writes: “I am often asked by parents, ‘How do I talk to my child about death if I don’t believe in God or heaven?’”
Her answer? Lie to them.
She explains: “The idea that you simply die and turn to dust may work for some adults, but it doesn’t help children. Belief in heaven helps them grapple with this tremendous and incomprehensible loss,” especially “[i]n an age of broken families, distracted parents, school violence, and nightmarish global-warming predictions.”
Now, most people who listen to BreakPoint don’t have to worry about the dilemma that Komisar is describing. But there are some atheists and skeptics in our audience. I know because I hear from them. And to any of them considering taking this advice, just know: The Bible is filled with warnings not to put God to the test, or to mock Him.
As C. S. Lewis observes in “The Screwtape Letters,” the Creator of the universe will not be used as a convenience: “Men or nations who think they can revive the Faith in order to make a good society might just as well think they can use the stairs of Heaven as a short cut to the nearest [pharmacy].”

Jeffrey Andrew Winters said...

the article continues
"No, atheist parents shouldn’t lie to their kids. They should fall on their knees before the living and very real God and teach their children the truth about who He is and how much He loves them.
Still, Komisar’s advice is more interesting, to me, for what it says about unbelief than what it says about belief. Think about it: Komisar admits that a God-less worldview is inadequate for both navigating life’s deepest sorrows and accounting for life’s highest joys. Shouldn’t the fact that faith in something beyond the bare, material world of atheism is necessary to handle the here and now tell us something?
This idea that our thirst for deeper meaning is a clue about the nature of reality and the meaning of the universe is one C.S. Lewis articulated beautifully, and remember, he was writing in the context of the lows of war and the highs of victory. In Mere Christianity, he argued: “If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.”
If belief in God, in an afterlife, in Heaven, and in meaning that transcends death is so good for children and adults alike, and if it’s necessary to fully make sense of this world, we might consider the possibility that all these things are actually true.

And we should always point our kids to truth, not just because of its practical benefits. After all, one of the greatest rewards of the Christian faith is that our highest joy and the universe’s highest truth are in full agreement."

Yet, based on the relationship of Eve to Adam (each other's twin flame)...As I read Mark 12 - doesn't it seem like this conversation is less about the possibility of multiple partners, since Christ is trying to open their eyes to the laws THEY are wanting but it is these very laws that he has come to eradicate as part of Elohims fulfillment. It was The Religious leaders goal to engage Christ in discussions such as this in attempt to snare him."

In some ways I can't help but wonder if earthly marriage might be characterized as one of the many "doctrine's of men" that was possibly established by early religious men to retain control... maybe that why Jeremiah 31:22 says "... for the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth. A woman shall compass a man."

He was able to eat, drink etc etc. Why i am saying this is because you say that there will be lovemaking, which means to have sex. But there won't be sex? Sex is a physical thing and we will be physical in the new earth/heaven/paradise."

thomas rhone

"Thank you for your response. Yes there will be sex. But the sex then will be quite different from what it is now. Now we have sex in this physical body of death. But then we will have sex in a physical body of life. So the stimulation and physical sensation in a body of a life will be very different from a the physical sensation and stimulation of a body of death. So that there will be no more sex as we know it now. but we will know sex in a whole new different light and way. So much so I don't think it would be referred to as sex. As it was in the beginning it was referred to as the Delight, pleasure, sporting, and to( know your spouse.) Sex is mostly physical not spiritual, but the kind of lovemaking that will be down in the future it will include the spirit soul and body. It will be more spiritual Than Physical. Now it is mostly physical. Thank you for watching my video if you have any questions on them please feel free to ask I do have other videos on love making and sex in Paradise ."

"I think he's saying we will have a higher order of sex, something that is the same but better; a Heavenly analogue. Here on earth roses have thorns, good sensations have pain, everything desirable has a negative side effect. Here we experience the sensations of death, as he puts it. That's why so many people are addicted to pain medicine, to mask those sensations. In Heaven we will have everything that's good, without the negative side effects.

This author is certainly better, more empathetic, and has greater insight into this than what I call "drive-by" teachers, who give pat answers and get their "jab" in, then quickly exit. Some use Galatians 3:28 to "prove" that we'll be neutered, unisex beings up there (neither male nor female, Jew nor Greek). Others, like Randy "Acorn" as I like to call him, acknowledge we'll have some sort of gender "identity", but without the passion that sexual partners experience here. How ridiculous is that? One book I read a long time ago put it in a nutshell: "In Heaven, women will look like the most beautiful women on earth, but won't be the object of sexual passions of any kind ". That last phrase "of any kind" made it clear that author doesn't believe there will be sex or anything resembling it... any form of love making. That's not what this author is saying if I am hearing him right."

@DelphiProgrammer "yes you are hearing me right. The sex that is coming is on such a high level it will not even be considered sex anymore. Sex as we know it now came about after man sin. But before man sin it was called deliteful voluptuous luxurious pleasure. Pure ecstasy without any negativity at all. This is what the word Eden mean. Thank you for clarifying this. Sometimes my biggest problem is finding a way to say what I understand thanks once again."

"Do human beings have souls? From the beginning of human awareness – no matter the context and no matter the age – the answer was always “yes”. All cultures have universally argued that human beings are “ensouled”. About a hundred years ago, however, scientists decided that the “soul” is not a proper subject of scientific investigation – consciousness replaced soul. Then, the brain replaced consciousness. Lately, this perspective has led some scientists to argue that within 20-30 years AI, robotics and biological brains will converge to create a cyborg/Matrix like reality where there is, essentially, no difference between humans and machines. Science of the Soul is a feature length documentary investigation into these life and death issues. From robotics to near death experiences, from attempts to achieve altered states of consciousness in the jungles of Peru to an exploration of infant state of mind, Science of the Soul explores the cutting-edge of consciousness related science to determine whether we are about to experience a new step in human evolution or the death of the human soul."

DelphiProgrammer , what do you think ? Have you ever read the book , Heaven by Randy Alcorn, it can be ordered from Amazon.com, it's like 500 pages, but very well written, Mr. Alcorn is incorrect when he says Sex will Not Exist in Heaven , but otherwise it's a superb book, it never made any sense to me, when some Christians say Everything we love about Earthly life will exist in Heaven, except Sex, Think of all the Countless Disabled Christians in America & Worldwide , Christians with Mental illness, Physical illness, Social Awkwardness, etc, and they are unable to have the Sex Lives, Love Lives that they want because of their conditions , often they suffer crippling debilitating loneliness, and think how it is for them to see other people in Public Places in Loving Relationships, how these disabled Christians feel all alone, jealous, envious of people they see in Relationships, I live in New York City, USA, so I see many Disabled People & Persons with Mental illness, I've spoken to them, they have crippling loneliness, at least in Heaven, things should be better for them and for everyone

"@Jeffrey Andrew Winters I have no use for Randy "Acorn". He has a "thing" against any form of romantic relationship or attachment in Heaven, because we are the so-called "bride of Christ"; so any form of coupling between humans is "adultery" in his eyes. He believes in just about every earthly pleasure and happiness in heaven except sex! He talks about food in heaven, and that we will have digestive systems. Has he thought about what that means? Does that mean we will poop in heaven? Yet, he takes the literal meaning of "neither marry nor be given in marriage" to mean any form of sexuality is out. He said he believes we will still have our gender "identity", but without the sexual function or relationship that goes with it. That is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard! If I say I have a cherry tree in my back yard, but it never yields cherries, then in what sense is it a "cherry" tree? How do I know it's not an apple tree? If you say we have gender "identity", but without the function and purpose that gender is for, then in what sense is it "gender"? It becomes completely meaningless to say we're male and female at that point. His arguments are totally irrational and incoherent.
Your point about disabled Christians is absolutely right! People who peddle that message have no regard for people like that."

"@Jeffrey Andrew Winters That is my whole point! Many people were unable to experience that fulfillment in this life for reasons beyond their control. Others had that experience later in life, or didn't have children, or had only one child, or had children who were far apart in age. I was 36 when I got married, and didn't live in a place where I could legally support children until I was 42 (we violated condo rules by living in a one-bedroom unit with a baby for four years!). Notice how the people who peddle this no marriage in heaven thing are pastors who got married at 22 and live in a mansion with 5 kids! I don't believe God will leave people out. I believe every good thing God created will be available to all of his redeemed saints. That includes the joy and happiness of marriage and children, and the passion of sex. What would heaven be if God left that out? It wouldn't be much like "heaven", would it?"

DelphiProgrammer replied

"@Jeffrey Andrew Winters Several chapters later in the very same book of Isaiah, God declares that "Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth!", and goes on to say "No longer will babies die when only a few days old, no longer will adults die before they have lived a full life. No longer will people be old at one hundred! ... "For my people will live as long as trees and have time to enjoy the works of their hands. They will not labor in vain and their children will not be doomed to misfortune; for they are people blessed by the LORD, and their children, too, will be blessed." [ISAIAH 65 : 17 - 25].

Where do babies and children come from if there's no marriage; if there's no sex?

Now, people will argue that it's talking about unresurrected saints in the Millennium. But that's not what it says, it says "New heavens and a new earth". According to Revelation, that comes after the Millennium. If you understand the symbolism in Isaiah you can fully understand what it says. It says people will eat the fruit of their own vineyards. That doesn't mean everybody is a grape grower. It means you will enjoy the fruits of your own labor, whatever that is. When it says people will live as long as trees, it doesn't mean 1000 years; it's symbolic for immortality. Isaiah is saying here that God will restore everything to what it was in His original design; in Eden. Old Testament believers (Jews) believe that these passages, which describe the Messianic Age, are promised also to dead people who are brought back to life [resurrected]. There is simply no other way to interpret that verse. If it didn't start with "new heavens and a new earth", then you argue for the Millennium and unglorified people. But the fact that it does say that means what it means."

I believe sex not being in heaven is such a sad lie that many Christians have bought. I believe God is LOVE and that means ALL "types" of love - agape, philo, and eros. If we are in the image of God, then all of these types of love are eternally a part of our human nature. I believe in heaven ALL of these loves will be fulfilled - agape in us loving everyone unconditionally, philo in us having closer friendships with people whom we "click" with personality wise and then eros being fulfilled in our intimate romantic and sexual relationships with our partner (spouse?). And yes I agree, the "marriage" Jesus spoke of here is the one which started at the Fall. True "marriage" is of the heart and is no exchanging of a contract and so there will be no need for marrying or being given in marriage (exchange of things) since we will be faithful, loving and will never die. The website covenanteyes.com in 2019 had an article by a Christian writer named Noah Filipiak who claimed there is No Sex in Heaven, in the comments in reply to this article
Rai on January 26th, 2020 - 3:13pm typed in reply to a man named "Nicko"
"That’s based on your erroneous view of sex as one who does NOT understand The Scripture FULLY, like the pharisees. To understand The Bible FULLY, one should not add OR subtract from the written Word AND inject his preconceived ideas on it, based on how his society understands goodness and morality, but must make SURE his understanding fits GOD’s definition of right or wrong BASED on The Scripture.
The Bible nowhere says WORD FOR WORD that there is NO sex in Heaven. WHERE have you read that? It ONLY says there are no MARRIAGES in the Resurrection.
To understand this better from A BIBLICAL and MESSIANIC Viewpoint please allow Me share with you what יהוה taught Me on this subject based on The Scripture, and NOT on according to Western Culture about sex and the Afterlife.
The MAIN Reason
why religious leaders
fall to immorality.
Its not just because of this (James 1:14) but because of this (Matthew 22:30)
This may come a bit strange to most, but I browsed all over the net and I found out one of the MAIN (among the many) reasons why some, if not most people, including Believers are involved in immorality and sexual scandals BECAUSE of the belief that there is “NO sex” (procreation) in Heaven (more accurately: The Resurrection).
So then (they reason to themselves) “if you can’t get to enjoy that kind of pleasure in the Afterlife why not do it here even if its risky? Right?”
Now I know they don’t speak it outright, but their ACTIONS tell plainly what their MINDS believe. Its similar to our former belief as Catholics that in Heaven OR at the World to Come no one gets thirsty or hungry and then right off the bat, we say that no one eats OR drinks in Heaven, (so we eat like gluttons here)—which is not the case, because men ALSO ate the Bread of Angels, once, Manna as they call it or (“what is this?” Psalms 78:25) during the time of Moses. This also reminds Me of the belief My countrymen has, that “in Heaven there is no beer” so they get drunk as if there’s no tomorrow, here. Wrong. In the World to Come there will be FEASTING, not just food and drinks but a Great Banquet.
READ IT.
On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare a FEAST of RICH food for all peoples, a BANQUET of aged WINE– the best of MEATS and the FINEST of WINES. (Isaiah 25:6)
This is one of the reasons why The Son of Man talked often about A Wedding Feast (which is His) in one of His parables. (Matthew 22:2)
Now what Feast is there WITHOUT Food, Drinks and A GREAT Celebration?
Yes, their is something BETTER than Beer in Heaven and its called WINE.
And while its true that there are no marriages in The Resurrection, (Matthew 22:30) because believers are married to יהוה and To The Lamb (Hosea 2:19 & Revelations 19:6-9) I believe that there will still be sex and procreation in The New Heavens and New Earth, BASED on The Scripture and NOT on man’s erroneous and malicious understanding of sex on earth, and this is clearly stated on Isaiah 65:23.
They shall not labor in vain or BEAR CHILDREN for calamity, (obviously not happening in a fallen world we see today) for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the LORD, (יהוה) and their descendants WITH them."

"Question, WHEN will these things be? The preceding text on Isaiah 65:17 gives us the answer:
At the NEW Heavens and the NEW Earth.
GOD seeks “godly offspring” (Malachi 2:15) and WE, His Spiritual Bride, who are MARRIED to Him, (Hosea 2:19 & Revelations 19:6-9) will bring forth those “godly offspring” for Him in The World to Come, at The REGENERATION (Matthew 19:28) and the RESTORATION of ALL things. (Acts 3:21 & Isaiah 65:17)
THIS is what יהוה told Me, BASED on The Scripture. So don’t worry, married couples, your marriage on Earth to your spouse won’t be severed in Heaven and as for the eunuchs and singles I say in the Name of יהוה, be not discouraged or be tempted to commit immorality on Earth, (just because of that erroneous belief) you’ll get A Better Chance in the World to Come, (where EVERYTHING is PERFECT, no quarrelsome spouses, no stubborn children, with you and your partner staying forever youthful, etc) because sex and procreation was designed by GOD Almighty BEFORE the Fall of Man, NOT after it. (Genesis 1:28)
Control your urges. You are NOT deprived by יהוה who gives us ALL things to enjoy. (1 Timothy 6:17)
Blessed be His Name forever.
To the pure, ALL things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do NOT believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. (Titus 1:15)"

First the natural, then the spiritual. (1 Corinthians 15:46)
This is the reason why The Son of Man told Nicodemus,
John 3:12 (WEB) If I told you EARTHLY things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell HEAVENLY things?
Again the Biblical principle applies—
First the natural, then the spiritual. (1 Corinthians 15:46)
Yeshua wouldn’t promise His disciples rooms, homes OR “mansions” in Heaven (John 14:1), which is A Country (Hebrews 11:16) IF they don’t have a clue of what a mansion is like, on Earth and its NOT something like a cheeseburger you can chew on, but something where you can live on.
The same thing with every other thing, like playing, lovemaking, eating, drinking, constructing houses and ANYTHING normal citizens do in an earthly country.
And WE are Citizens of A Greater Country, Heaven. (Hebrews 11:16)
Philippians 3:20-21 (WEB) For our CITIZENSHIP is in Heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of His glory, according to the working by which He is able even to subject all things to Himself.
The ONLY thing that would be missing in that Heavenly Country UNTIL The New Jerusalem (which is A CITY see?) comes down from Heaven (A Country) are wars, genocides, pandemonium, violence, evil, crime and all wickedness.
Revelation 21:4 (WEB) He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.”
In other words, its what we would call A Perfect Civilization OR A Utopia. Every beautiful thing you can think of (including great sex with a great partner with NO heartbreaks, a good home, a nice family with nice children, who play with toys that cant be broken, in a home OR mansion where nothing can be stolen, great buildings, smooth transportation, where there’s no pollution in the air but the sweet scent of flowers and heavenly perfumes, with A King who reigns with love and justice to all His citizens, who are treated like royals by His Angels … this AND more! What more can you ask for?)
Sounds more like a fairy tale or a fantasy, ONLY this time its REALITY!
This is more beautiful than any Wonderland you can dream of, on this accursed planet earth!
Revelation 21:27 (WEB) There will in no way enter into it anything profane, or one who causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Isaiah 35:8-10 (WEB) A highway will be there, a road, and it will be called “The Holy Way”. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools shall not go there.
No lion will be there, nor will any ravenous animal go up on it. They will not be found there; but the redeemed will walk there.
Then Yahweh’s ransomed ones will return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”
Wouldn’t you like to live in such A Wonderful Place?
If so, lets pray for GOD’s Kingdom to come and for its King to Reign Earthwide.

Germán on April 6th, 2019 - 2:21am typed regarding the famous C.S. Lewis Analogy of a boy and chocolates
"I’m sorry, but the analogy of a boy who wants chocolate is a very flawed analogy, with all due respect to Mr. Lewis. No one is asking the child to give up chocolate as a condition for having sex. People can and do continue to enjoy chocolate long into their active love lives; in fact, it often outlasts it! The “canned” interpretation of Jesus answer to the Sadducees is that we *will* give up our sexual/romantic companionship with love partners as a condition for being “married” to Christ. That is a very different prospect. One that I don’t agree with."

Jeremiah on May 4th, 2019 - 2:34am typed
"I am also not convinced that Jesus’ words have been interpreted best to mean “no marriage in heaven.” Let’s not forget that God’s Word is eternal.
“And Jesus said to them, ‘The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection'” (Luke 20:34‭-‬36 ESV).
It is easy to jump to conclusions, but let’s delve into it. Notice He says no one will “marry” or “be given”, and that these are both verbs. Jesus doesn’t mention those who are married. Now, marriage is not an earthly thing but a spiritual thing: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24). Becoming “one flesh” isn’t something that can be explained physically, but the act of God. And we know that what God says is everlasting (Isaiah 40:8: The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever). These explications should be enough to posit that what is commonly accepted about marriage in heaven is neither faultless nor final.
Even without these insights, there are questions justified by asking Christians who despair in the thought of losing their special relationship with their spouse upon going to heaven. Why would God establish marriage, to have it disestablished in heaven, when he can do anything? (I’m saying that he could of created a completely different structure for people to be born, for women to be provided for historically, for inheritances to be passed down, etc., then to completely disassemble Marriage between people in the later life). Many answers will also say we will have a special relationship with our loved ones while preaching dogmatically that there is no marriage in eternal life. If there is no spiritual union established by God between the saints, then on what basis is that belief founded? These questions and many more should lead Christians to look into Scripture and similarily evaluate it as I have."

Jeffrey Andrew Winters said...

the comment by Jeremiah continues
"But about sex. Will we have our seperate organs in heaven? What purpose will they serve? (it is entirely plausible that they will be like badges that glorify God, but the point is that the answer to this question isn’t certain). Sex is a good thing, made by God. Is it possible that sex will be in a higher form that we can’t understand now? Nowhere in the Bible does it say that there will no eating in heaven; it does say that the tree of life will be in the holy city. The opinion that there is no sex is only a conjecture. Rather than the Word rejecting sex in heaven, drawing parallels between it and other activities (as one way to search for truth), it leans toward the reality of sex in heaven, not like here on Earth, but transformed.
Let’s be aware of our sin nature and how we see everything through a broken lens. By surmising that “there is sex in heaven”, it is not asserting that we will have pleasure in each other and not God. One can believe in sex in heaven, and believe we will be married to Christ in heaven (if there is disagreement, then show me your texts). Sex, if in heaven, is doubtless not like sex here in a broken world.
We will live in a holy city, where the glory of God will fill every part. We will also be serving God (Revelation 22:3). If a city, I assume each one will tasked (and find joy in it) with something that God intends for them (perhaps similar to things we have passion for on Earth). There will be activities; it will not be like a hallucinogenic state of ‘maximum joy’, certainly not like anything induced by narcotics. There will likely be times of greater joy (Luke 15:7). If work, then something to devote oneself to; if a city, then likely events. It would seem at least plausible that sex exists, and that it isn’t idolatry, in the same way that focusing on work or events in heaven, is idolatry. These latter two don’t spark debate, but sex (in all its topics) has a way of creating a divide between people: (in this case) people who have a more open view, or people who have a more closed view, and neither is better than the other, but reflect different truths (i.e., God created sex as good so it must be also ordained in heaven, or, Christ alone satisfies us so sex is unnecessary and therefore must be absent from heaven, respectively). So taking the open view, sex is as weird as having jobs in heaven, in other words, not at all. And the points I’ve made shows that while the Bible doesn’t give us a clear answer, it leans toward sex, created by God, to be enjoyed some way in heaven (just as other activities are enjoyed).
It’s 2:30 in the morning here and my thumbs should rest, but I felt compelled to say this, as a reply to Germán and to open more discourse on this topic. I don’t discuss some things, for the reason that I do not have enough knowledge at the moment (e.g., what if you have had multiple marriaged or none at all?). I think these few points are enough to warrant consideration. As a fellow Christian I keep this in mind, “For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known” (1 Corinthians 13:12). We will know there, but I have my hope here."

" I do believe that teaching a sexless, marriageless heaven has consequences. Many young people experience great hardship starting out in life (can't get through college, can't find a job, etc.), and have a hard time finding a romantic partner. When these people are taught "there's no marriage in heaven", they become despondent. Our society's emphasis on youth and beauty only compounds the problem. The danger for some is that, in thinking that if they don't find "love" in this life they will never experience it for all eternity, they may rush into marriage with the wrong person or have sexual relationships outside of marriage anyway. These actions have devastating consequences not only for the people themselves, but for any children born of those relationships. So, I think the sexless heaven teaching is not only wrong, but harmful to people."

"I just want to get past this idea that sexuality is against God's desire for us; that somehow God "goofed" when he created our sexuality, so now he has to completely re-design heaven because Satan successfully ruined God's beautiful design beyond his ability to repair. So now we have to settle for something else, something different, something "better" they say.

One author who wrote about his near death experience had an "interview" with God, and God's response to his question about marriage was: "... sex is one of the most abused of my designs for humanity; so much so that it has become a stench to my nostrils. It is not time for you to know the full design of my new creation, but of this be assured, THERE WILL BE FULLNESS OF JOY". Notice he had to emphasize that with ALL CAPS, as if there's the need to labor hard to convince us. Another author wrote that our "spiritual" relationship with Christ will eclipse even the most joyous moments with our earthly spouses. He went on to write that "women in the resurrection will look like the most beautiful women on earth, but won't be the object of sexual passions of any kind". These people must honestly believe God failed in his first attempt to create humanity, so now he has to "re-design" us. The irony is that Christians place so much emphasis on love, marriage and family in this life, only to do a complete 180 reversal when talking about the world to come. It's all because of Matthew 22:30.

My parents got me a state of the art stopwatch for my 14th birthday. It was second to none in quality, and kept time to the tenth of a second. After three days I dropped and broke it, and my mom was so livid that she swore they would never replace it. For Christmas they broke down and got me another stopwatch; a cheap dime-store quality piece that kept time only to the second. I dropped and broke the good stopwatch, so they got me a cheap replacement. We dropped and broke the "good" relationship, so God will give us "the love of all humanity" in heaven? We will just "love everybody the same"? I'm sorry, but that's what this sexless, marriagess heaven doctrine sounds like to me."

So, I guess all those things can't be in heaven either, then, if "the world is passing away, and also its lusts". People who can't get past thinking that sex is lust are still in "high school".

@Jeffrey Andrew Winters "Those descriptions sound pretty reasonable. I think Randy Alcorn probably wrote a comprehensive, thought provoking book about heaven. I won't buy or read it because I don't particularly care for Randy "Acorn". He has a "thing" against sexuality, as many "traditional" Christians do. He said in one video that in heaven we will have food and digestive systems because Revelation talks about a feast. However, according to him, we will have gender "identity", without sexual function or relationships. That is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard! First of all, I think food and digestive systems sounds pretty worldly, wouldn't you agree? And, if we do eat and digest food, where does it go? Is he saying we will poop in heaven? Secondly, gender "identity" without sexual function is a nonsensical argument. If I say I have a cherry tree in my back yard, but it never yields cherries, in what sense is it a "cherry" tree? How do I know it's not an apple tree? The whole point of calling something a cherry tree is that it has cherries. The whole point of saying we have gender is the function and purpose that gender is for. We were created male and female to have relationships. God didn't create us that way for decoration. It's like saying you have a car that doesn't drive."

@Jeffrey Andrew Winters "I have some scriptures that should challenge the "no marriage in heaven" people, and raise real questions about their claim that we will be genderless, sexless and childless in eternity.

Eze 37:25 "And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

Eze 37:26 "Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore."

Eze 37:28 "And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore."

It says he will multiply us and set His sanctuary in our midst FOR EVERMORE. What does that mean if it doesn't mean what it says? That doesn't sound like a thousand years to me. And why use the word "multiply" in that context if "God's numbers are complete" in heaven?"

@Jeffrey Andrew Winters "Here's the thing, and I think everybody misses it. When we are resurrected into new bodies, nobody knows what the quality and characteristic of those new bodies will be. So, when people say there is "no sex" in heaven, they are both right and wrong. Will we literally have intercourse the way we have it in our earthly bodies? I have no idea. People who think they can answer that question are lying through their teeth. The problem I have is that mainstream Christian leaders and apologists say there will be nothing "sexual" or "sex-like" in any aspect of the resurrection (intermediate or final heaven). They base that claim on the idea that our "marriage" is to Jesus, and that we will have some spiritual type of "marital" relationship with Christ. They conflate the literal meaning of marriage to Jesus with the metaphorical meaning that is actually conveyed. If marriage to Jesus is literal, then it breaks the very rules of marriage that the Bible defines (why?). If it is metaphorical, then it can't possibly preclude people having individual marriage relationships, because marriage to Jesus is only a symbolic union of the church as a whole to Christ, and our union as one body of people. That means people can still have individual relationships without "committing adultery". So, there can absolutely be individual relationships in heaven that follow the pattern of male and female, because that's how God created us. That can take on the same or different form as we will be in different bodies, but it will be the same "in essence". "

@Jeffrey Andrew Winters "I agree with what you said. I think believers will have some kind of intimacy both when they immediately meet the Lord after death, and when they rise in their new bodies. I think the pattern and design that God created for the male form and female form to share intimacy is a universal part of God's creation, both physical and spiritual.

In programming we have a concept called interfaces. An interface is a design or blueprint that defines how a class behaves. It defines all the "rules" of how it interacts with the world. You could have an interface that reads data; and it doesn't care if the data comes from a database, a file, or a socket. Each class that "implements" that interface defines how it reads the data. In the same way, earthly sex, "heavenly 'sex'", some form of sexuality on the new earth, may be experienced slightly differently, but the design or blueprint is the same. The "interface" that defines the "look and feel" of it is the same. When you're in your heavenly spiritual form, you may experience an intimate bond with a soul that has a female form, and you'll say to yourself, "This is exactly like having sex!". It may even be a 100 times better! People who say there's "no sex in heaven" because we don't have the same biological earthly bodies all miss the point! They are exhibiting what psychologists call functional fixedness. They think that if something can't be experienced in a certain way, then it can't exist. They are the ones who can't think outside the box."

DelphiProgrammer typed a good comment in response to the video

"I made this point in a response to a post, but I'm going to say it here because I think these are valid points that everybody misses.

First of all, the Bible never says there is no sex in Heaven. I challenge anyone to find the verse that says that explicitly. Jesus did say there is no marriage to individuals in Heaven, in response to the Sadduccees question about seven brothers for one bride. People surmise that there is no sex because there is "no marriage", and marriage outside of sex is sin, and there is no sin in Heaven, so there is no sex. But understand that this is all based on human logic and deduction, none of it it spelled out in the Bible. The Bible also tells us to "lean not upon our own understanding".

Secondly, the Sadduccees had no interest in learning about marriage in Heaven. Their question was a trick question designed to trip Jesus up and disprove the resurrection. Their logic was like this. At that time of Christ, part of the marriage contract was an agreement to marry another family member if your husband dies without bearing children. In the Sadduccees story to Jesus, all seven brothers died without bearing children, so the woman's marriage to the next brother was compulsory, it was required by law. The trap the Sadduccees laid was the law of Moses required the woman to marry multiple men, but the same law forbade her from being married to multiple men while they're still living. If there was a resurrection, she couldn't help but break the law of Moses, and to the Sadduccees this implied that the very idea of a resurrection was contrary to scripture so it was not possible. So that verse is really about proving the resurrection and has nothing to do with marriage in Heaven per sé. Jesus was saying that the marriage contract to be with individual partners by law will go away because we will no longer die, which is not the same as saying we will no longer have love partners.

If being in the presence of God is so glorious by itself that we no longer need relationships with one another, then why did God give Adam a helpmate? God said, "it is not good that a man be alone, I will make for him a helpmate" in the Garden of Eden while Adam walked with God. He created Eve for Adam and said "it is very good", before there was sin. This, to me, suggests that this relationship will not be abolished in Heaven.

Also, the quote from C.S. Lewis that everybody loves to cite, about a child wanting chocolate, is a flawed analogy. We do, in fact, continue to enjoy chocolate as adults when we're in married/sexual relationships, so one does not preclude the other. In fact, chocolate is one of the main gifts given on Valentine's day to celebrate our love for our romantic partners." Well said

"Here's an inspiration that I've been thinking of for a long time and I decided to post it here.

From ISAIAH 65 : 17 - 25
Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall be remember no more. Rejoice and be glad! I will create Jerusalem as a city of happiness, and her people will be a source of joy. I will rejoice over Jerusalem as a city of happiness, and the sound of weeping and crying will be heard no more. No longer will babies die when only a few days old. No longer will adults die before living a full life. No longer will people be considered old at one hundred! Only sinners will die that young. In those days, people will live in the houses they build and eat the fruit of their own vineyards. It will not be like the past, when invaders inhabited the houses and confiscated the vineyards. For my people will live as long as trees, and my chosen ones will have time to enjoy the works of their hands. They will not labor in vain, and their children will not be doomed to misfortune. For they are people blessed by the LORD, and their children, too, will be blessed. I will answer them before they call to me, while they are still talking about their needs I will answer their prayers. The lion will feed with the lamb, the wolf will eat straw like the ox. Poisonous snakes will strike no more! In those days, no one will be hurt or destroyed on my holy mountain. I, the LORD, have spoken!

That is my favorite verse in scriptures! Notice that it starts with God saying "I create new heavens and new earths", and then goes on to describe it. It talks about babies not dying when only a few days old and people not being old at one hundred. It says we will live as long as trees. It says our children will be blessed, and where do children come from?

Now, I believe there is symbolism in this passage. Not everything is meant to be taken literally. "We will eat the fruit of our own vineyards" doesn't mean everyone will be a grape farmer. It means we can create everything we need for our own sustenance, happiness and livelihood. If you like music, you can build your own music studio. You won't be dependent on an employer to pay you a salary so you can take what's left of your paycheck after paying mortgage, car payments and grocery bills and buy something from a store IF you have enough money left! You will "eat the fruit of your own vineyard". Likewise, it says we will live as long as trees (that's beautiful, by the way!). It doesn't mean you die at 1000 years old like trees do, I believe it's symbolic for living forever. It does say that sinners will die before 100. That means that sinners die that young, it doesn't mean sinners will live in that age! If you understand the verse in context, you understand the verse.

What's most evident about this verse is it doesn't paint a picture of people being "like angels" and being sexless. It talks about families and children! It's also talking about the new creation, because it starts with "new heavens and a new earth".

I just thought I would share this."

@Jeffrey Andrew Winters "I've been observing your discussion with DelphiProgrammer...
Our Father is a God of Love - he and the Rauch Ha Kodesh created us and have gifted us with so many things - the ability to love (and learn about loving ourselves in order to love other's) is the greatest commandment.
I do believe there will be intimacy in heaven...of course many might call me blasphemous or worse for merely implying that. Yet, here's a thought I'm going to throw into the loop. I get where you're coming from - regarding sexuality.
Yet, What if the act of sex on earth would actually P-A-L-E in comparison to how God and The Ruach had actually designed it to be outside this 3d realm? What if the "mechanics" of human sexuality, "sex," is actually less appealing than what the gloried body will experience in 5d and beyond? Think about the concept that to be out of the body is to be present in God's pure Light. That means WE become part of God's pure energy. If we are blessed by reading the Book of the Apocalypse (Revelation) then why wouldn't the very essence of pure heavenly intimacy (ultimately) reflect perfection because it is of Yahweh's making? If one really ponders the Promises Jesus gave us and He was the manifestation of God's source of energy why wouldn't sexuality in Heaven potentially be a hundred or thousand times more pleasurable than what we associate it with now? Imagine two "like- bodies" of energy fusing together - that's like a combustible explosion... which would far outweigh anything man has ever tried to emulate." Well said MeeknMild

I just found an article on the website paperbackwriterblogdotcom.wordpress.com , the article is titled
"Will There be “Sex” In Heaven?"
August 22, 2012 the article says

"Firstly, this blog is not designed for those who do not believe in God, heaven or hell. I would like to have the opinions of God-fearing people who believe in the hereafter. The question is, will there be sex in heaven? Secondly, I do not care to discuss religion on this blog.

Now, with that having been explained, I want to say that when I speak of “Sex” I am not talking about the gender of male or female, however, that has a lot to do with my thought. I am talking about a word that is commonly used to describe an erotic experience between male and female. That’s right–sexual intercourse.

OK, to begin with, I do not believe that in heaven we will be floating around on clouds playing tunes on a harp or flying around with our supposed angel wings. When I read revelation chapter 21 and 22 I am told that Heaven is a great “Gated” city that is foursquare. It is divided into 12 suburbs each adorned with all manner of precious stone. It has rivers and streets and dwellings. Heaven is described as a place of great beauty. And we are told that all things there will be made new. I also read that there will be great joy and harmony between it’s inhabitants.

In the beginning God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27. So then, God created man and woman in his image-an intelligent bipod made of flesh and bone. In this world we are born and we age slowly over time. The passage of time brings us more wisdom but our bodies decay. When Jesus, God here with us, came to this earth he looked like us. He died and was resurrected and was recognized after his death as the man he was on earth, yet he was in a spiritual form. His body was made new. I believe that when we die and are resurrected our spirits or souls will be rejoined with our buried or burned bodies and we will be made new.

We will know each other in heaven. I also believe that we all will be of one age, an everlasting age. Children who died as children we be as they should have been if they would have lived and those who died as a feeble old man or woman will be as they were. What age then? Since Jesus was 33 years old at his death, I believe that we will all be about 30 years of age because 30 is not too young yet not too old–A halfway mark if you will.

OK, we have established that in Heaven we will be male and female in a new body that is indescribably perfect. We will know each other and we will experience great joy and harmony. Therefore, we can safely surmise that there will be sexuality in heaven because heaven will personify enjoyment. Men and women will enjoy each another. I want to hear your opinions now so have fun."

"My whole problem with "marriage in heaven" teaching is not what age we will be, but the idea that when we're restored to perfection we "won't have a relationship" [or so they say]. A lot of teachers, like Randy "Acorn", John [Pied] Piper, and so on (pardon my humor!), have a "thing" against sexuality in heaven. One author wrote that "Women in the resurrection will look like the most beautiful women on earth, but won't be the object of sexual passions of any kind. Words like these floor me! Where does it say that in the Bible? It doesn't! Randy Acorn said that "In heaven there will be food and we'll have digestive systems. However, though we will still be male and female in 'identity', we will no longer have sexual function". Did this genius actually think about what he said? We will have "digestive systems"? Does that mean we'll poop in heaven? But we won't have the "sexual function" that goes with our gender.

If I say I have a cherry tree in my back yard, but it never yields cherries, then in what sense is it a "cherry" tree? How do I know it's not an apple tree? The whole point of calling something a cherry tree is that it has cherries. The whole point of saying we have gender is the function and purpose that gender is for. There's no such thing as gender "identity" without sex. His rambling is incoherent."

@DelphiProgrammer The 1st thing I picked up on is "we won't have relationship" - I think in general people are missing that YHWH is relationship focused/ centered.
I might have read one R Alcorn book over the years so not real familiar with him.
Most people are only willing to acknowledge the Triune Godhead. But there are (4) symbols in YHWH. Since there was a "curse" that occurred at Genesis 3 affecting creation & the religious leaders have spent a fair chunk of "time" addressing the topic of "marriage" and what does or doesn't make a good marriage it would seem God's plan for REAL relationship and union is the one we are all seeking. What that looks like or how it functions is something I pray to be accounted worthy to be a part of when Yahushua's Kingdom arrives."

@MeeknMild "When I was a kid I loved football. One day in my first year of high school someone passed out a tract that said that in heaven there are no sports. The reasoning was that there can be no winners and losers; and since it's meaningless to have a sport where one team doesn't beat another team, then there can be no sports.

There is a similar mentality among people who don't believe in "marriage" in heaven (and by that, I mean a relationship between a man and a woman like God created for Adam and Eve). There is the idea that in heaven everybody "loves everybody the same", that there can be no "favorites". Relationships between individual partners means that some people would love some people (their own partners) more than others (people who aren't their partners), and it wouldn't be "fair". Pat Robertson said there are no soul mates in heaven because, as the Bride of Christ, "there is a universal harmony between all people". He is looking at relationships through the lens of his earthly eyes and our sinful, jealous nature. In heaven there would be no jealousy or envy. What if everybody has a natural, God-appointed partner that they naturally gravitate to without the need for a contract or marriage license? Maybe that's what Jesus meant by "they will neither marry nor be given in marriage". People could still love everybody with perfect love while being mated to their perfect partner. It takes more faith to see it that way than to view it the way Pat Robertson does." My Mother passed away in September 2014 at the age of 63, she was a big fan of Elvis Presley, she never met Elvis in her earthly life, who knows maybe my Mom is having Sex with Elvis in Heaven, anything is Possible !!!

Just wanted to clarify, on the comments above on this blog, comments by myself,
Jeffrey Andrew Winters, start with my first comment dated
January 5,2017, yet my name got changed to "Unknown" for some reason. I think it's because in October 2018, I got a new cell phone, with a new number, and wasn't able to get into my old gmail, so I had to create a new gmail account, so where it says "Unknown" starting with the comments on January 5,2017 , that's me,Jeffrey Andrew Winters, I've also heard that some other people's blog postings on the Internet have gone from it showing their names to "Unknown" because of the Social Media Platform
Google Plus shutting down, going out of business on April 2, 2019, because they got gmail when they signed up for Google Plus, aka Google+ , and I'll be back with more arguments & information, news about Sex in Heaven for Christians as soon as I find them !!!

Mr. Gruber, With this horrible
Coronavirus(Covid-19) pandemic in
America and Worldwide, over
100,000 deaths in America and a Worldwide death toll of
350,000 as of May 28, 2020
This blog and the issue of Sex in
Heaven for Christians is very relevant, now more than ever.
I hope this pandemic ends soon, it deeply upsets me all the horrible evil, suffering and injustice in America and Worldwide.
Let me say, I don't believe that the Christian Afterlife will be a giant non stop Orgy of Sex, however I do believe that Sex & Lovemaking, Sexual Intercourse will be one of many many things that Saved Christians will enjoy in Heaven. Just like how in this Earthly life, Sex is just one of many many things Christians enjoy.
Several years ago, I chatted with a good friend of mine named
Mark, he was in his late 60s and deeply upset that he never got Married and that he hasn't dated a woman in decades. He basically told me that he was terrified of dying alone, and described his Chronic loneliness as a Cancer within his soul, a horrible emptiness, a feeling that something is terribly wrong,
Mark was a Christian also, and he spoke about how he hopes Sex and intimate Relationships exist in Heaven, he said to me
"I can never be lonely again Jeff, Never again"
I agree with Mark, Never again for anyone, No one deserves to be lonely forever, with this horrible pandemic, loneliness is increasing in America and Worldwide, people who were already lonely are having their loneliness exacerbated, that's very sad
Your 2008 book
"Is There Sex in Heaven? A Biblical Case for Lovemaking in the Afterlife" was a real eye opener, a book every Christian should read.
I'll be back with more arguments for Sex in Heaven for Christians as soon as I find them !!!
Playboy Magazine said in the early
2000s that everyone, all human beings deserve to have a great
Sex Life, I'm sure most Christians would agree with that !!

Jeffrey Andrew Winters said...

I forgot to add, Mark also described his Chronic loneliness, lack of female Companionship and feeling unloved as a
horrible sadness,Torture,Toxic feeling that makes him physically and mentally Sick at times, and that it sometimes gives him horrible nightmares in his sleep.
On the Eternal Perspective Ministries website
epm.org there is an article dated October 5,2015
titled
"As a Single Person, Will I be Second Class in Heaven ?" By
Randy Alcorn,
Mr. Gruber, while myself, you and others would agree with some of the things stated in this epm.org article I just mentioned, we also strongly disagree with some of the other arguments in this article.
Overall Mr. Alcorn writes superb articles about Heaven, however his arguments against Sexual Intercourse in Heaven are severely flawed and false. That's where he's wrong, sincere and well meaning, but he is still wrong.
I think we can all agree with other Christians who state that the sadness and misery of loneliness cannot and willnot exist in Heaven. For my friend Mark, or for anyone. That God will eliminate loneliness, and make it so that no one in Heaven is lonely. There is already too much loneliness in this Earthly life now. On YouTube there are great Sermons by Pastor
Dr. Charles Stanley on the topic of loneliness.
I will return with more articles and arguments as soon as I find them.

The website for the Hawaii Catholic Herald, Newspaper of the Diocese of Honolulu
www.hawaiicatholicherald.com on
6/10/2020 has an article titled
"Father Kenneth Doyle: Is there Sex in Heaven? How do I receive forgiveness?" While I'm Protestant myself, and disagree somewhat with the theology of the forgiveness part of this article, because I'm Protestant, Father Doyle
seems sincere, but repeats the same old false arguments against Sexual Intercourse in Heaven for Christians. More and More Christians are asking about Sex in Heaven, Sex After Death.
Let me again say, I don't believe that the Christian Afterlife, will be a non stop Orgy of Sex, or a giant Brothel, but I do believe that Sexual Intercourse & Lovemaking will be one of many many things Saved Christians will enjoy in Heaven, just like Christians in this Earthly life now enjoy Sex, but also many many other things.

In the 2017 book
"Sex on Earth as it is in Heaven: A Christian Eschatology of Desire" by Patricia Beattie Jung , Paperback edition
Chapter 1 of this book is titled
"General Resurrection of the Body"
in a section of this Chapter titled "Deconstructing Denials of Sex in Heaven" speaking of Christian author
Ben Witherington III it says at the bottom of page 24 and continues on page 25
"Similarly, Witherington concludes spouses will no longer need to bond sexually in the life of the
world to come because "in a sense it will be like we are all married to each other in the Kingdom[sic],the communion or
koinonia will be so grand" Why presume this new, transfigured form of conjugal-like way of relating will not be sexual? That begs the question. He argues that in risen life sexual pleasures will be superseded by something even more wonderful. Again, why assume that this something more will not be sexual in some transfigured sense?"
In Chapter 5
"Reimagining Sex in Heaven" in a section titled
"Speculations About Sexual Desire and Delight in Heaven" on page 113
it states and continues to the top of page 114
"For much of Christian history theologians failed to see that sexual activity could be love making. But once this potential is recognized, the notion of sex in heaven becomes more plausible. This expansion in our understanding of God's design for desire is truly revolutionary. It opens the door to the notion that sexual desire has an eschatological capacity and to a variety of theological speculations in that regard.
God is about the business of perfecting all that is,including persons and the sexual desires that spring from us. Risen life-- much like the "one flesh" experience that is part of good sexual activity- will be a boundary-blurring experience. As I imagine risen life, though still identifiable and distinct, embodied persons will be ever more open and available to one another. There will be mutually porous quality to relationships, wherein we are each both permeable and penetrating"

Another interesting article I just found is from the Evangelicals Concerned Inc. website ecinc.org on

Christians in Heaven enjoying Sex is one of several things discussed in this article,
Myself and other contributors to the comments for this blog are Not
"Cranks" or "Crackpots" for speaking what we believe to be the Truth about Sex in Heaven for
Christians !!! It's Very Sad how there are countless Physically disabled, Mentally ill, Socially Awkward, Unlucky in Love, lonely single Christians in America alone, often they suffer from crippling debilitating loneliness, social isolation, rejection, at least when they ultimately pass away and go to Heaven, where there is No Mental or Physical Disease, at least in Heaven(Both Intermediate & Eternal Heaven) they should be able to have the Sex Lives, Love Lives & Intimate Relationships, Companionship that they were unable to have in their Earthly lives for whatever reasons, at least that, at least in Heaven for those Countless Christians who are unable to find Sex & Love in this life, For Christians a Relationship with God, Jesus & The Holy Spirit is indeed important, but human beings also need Intimate Relationships with Fellow Human Beings

In our Discussion about
Sex in Heaven(Both Intermediate & Eternal Heaven aka the New Earth,)
We must realize that Sex and Love are Not the same thing, however both are still very important,
For the sake of argument,
Suppose there is No Sexual Relations in Heaven for Saved Christians, would there still be Relationships in Heaven between Men & Women, would Saved Christians still have Boyfriends, Girlfriends, would they still walk together while holding hands ? Would they still hug & kiss ? Have Dinner together, Watch Movies together ? Would these things still exist ?
I still think the Biblical & Theological arguments and evidence strongly point to the Reality of Sexual Intercourse existing in Heaven for Saved Christians!!!
On the backside of the book
"Sex on Earth as it is in Heaven: A Christian Eschatology of Desire" by Patricia Beattie Jung
the backside of the book says
"This work is part of a growing chorus of theological voices raised in support of erotic desire. Although most theologians have concluded that there will be no experience of sexual desire and delight in the world to come, Patricia Beattie Jung critically examines the historical traditions and biblical rationales for this teaching. She defends an alternative claim that there will be a healed and glorified experience of sex in heaven based on a compelling account of the Christian hope for a bodily resurrection. The first half of the work focuses on Christian foundations for the notion of sex in heaven, while the second goes on to discuss some of the implications of those convictions for sex on earth. Jung concludes with discussions of how best to nurture sexual delight on earth and how and why internet pornography fails in that regard"

Also on the backside of this book it says
"The book provides a valuable, alternative reading of Christian eschatological thinking about resurrected bodies and a sensitive, refreshing, and candid discussion about sexual delight"
-Adrian Thatcher, author of
God,Sex and Gender: An Introduction

In our Discussion about Sex in Heaven for Saved Christians, I can't help but be reminded of the famous Bible verse
John 8:32 where Jesus says
"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" NIV
New International Version,
While the Context of John 8:32
isn't discussing Sex in Heaven, Still I am reminded of that verse , the false "No Sex in Heaven" belief doesn't set Christians or anyone free, it is extremely deeply upsetting to many Christians, especially the Countless disabled Christians in America and Worldwide with Mental illness, Social Awkwardness , Physical Conditions, Unlucky in Love, etc , who for whatever reasons are unable to have good Sex Lives & Love Lives in this Earthly life, it's very sad when these Christians suffer from Crippling debilitating loneliness, social isolation, rejection, Many of them are unable to get a date, let alone Sex , at least in Heaven, (Both Intermediate and Eternal Heaven) at least in Heaven when they ultimately pass away, they should be able to get the Sex Lives, Love Lives ,Companionship, Intimate Relationships, that they were unable to get in this Earthly life, at least that, I like to think that God will not allow anyone to be lonely forever, lonely or Sexless forever, that no man or woman will be lonely or Sexless forever, because it's sadly a growing problem, loneliness & people being unable to get Sex , it can happen to anyone, and sadly it often does. Of course myself and other people commenting on this blog are Not
"Cranks" or "Crackpots" for having a different point of view, on a Controversial, Taboo Topic for proudly stating what we believe to be the Truth.
Still, I will continue to post comments and arguments for Sex in Heaven for Saved Christians as soon as I find them.

Also, let me say, I realize that disabled people are Not a Monolith, Not all Mental,Physical disabilities and conditions are visible,
Some disabled people can find Sexual Partners, others cannot, each case is different, each person is different, I'm Not trying to negatively Stereotype people with Mental and/or Physical disabilities and conditions or paint them with a broad brush. Some disabled people can get Sex & Love, others cannot, while others might be able to find Sexual partners but Not Very often , Very Rarely and with great difficulty, It's Not just the type of Mental or Physical disability or Condition but also the Severity of the symptoms, like on a scale of 1 to 10 type of thing, some are more disabled than others.
Countless people become disabled as they get older

C.S. Lewis's comparison may be poor, but I have a better one. One about a baby and milk. Babies hunger for milk when they are little, but as they grow up they enjoy real food, making the milk unnecessary. Maybe sex is like baby's "milk," and something better in heaven is "real food."
I have another analogy. Marriage between one man and one woman is the teaser trailer, and marriage of the lamb with the church is the movie.

In response to the January 29 comment,
I bet there will be cyclones in heaven. Cyclones over the sea. Not exactly hurricanes, somewhat more like the cyclones by Cyclos in The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker, but not exactly either, might look less of a funnel. I know, I know, "There was no longer any sea" (Revelation 21:1), but John didn't know of the sea as snorkeling, riding with stingrays, tide pools, and surfing. He knew the sea as stormy and where "the beast" came out (Revelation 13:1). Maybe cyclones won't be devastating, but we will ride cyclones. Cyclone lifts a ship and spins it, then the ship is thrown "Wee!" Kind of like in Windwaker, not sure exactly.
You know how Finding Nemo unrealistically portrays ocean currents? In reality, ocean currents are just masses of moving water, not underwater bubbly jets. But perhaps in Heaven we will ride currents Finding Nemo style.

Unknown of September 29, 2020, You made good points, however many adults still drink milk, and with many teaser trailers, the teaser trailers are often better than the actual movies they advertise, Finding Nemo was indeed an Incredible Movie, I remember watching it with my girlfriend at the time in 2003, we also enjoyed the 2003 films "Bruce Almighty" & "Stuck on You" I wish Hollywood would make a Legend of Zelda Movie, a good quality Movie, and not like the horrible 1993 Live Action Super Mario Brothers film , many Mario and Nintendo fans watched the film and were thinking

Again I mention the
covenanteyes.com website with the article by Noah Filipiak who says there will be no Sexual Relations in Heaven for Saved Christians
Rai typed on March 10th, 2020 - 1:25am
"Hi Jonathan. Peace to you and your family, I pray GOD’s protection for you and your loved ones from the worldwide epidemic known as covid 19 or Corona virus.

I don’t see how the passage on Joel 2:25-32 has any relevance with “a romantic or sexual relationship” as you present it.

Its all about restoration and renewal.

Joel 2:25-32 (KJV) And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

But the Scriptures also has answers to all your other questions

Could marriage and sex be compared to marriage of the lamb the way a teaser trailer is to a movie? The movie is better than a teaser trailer, right?"

Will there be gender (masculine/male/men and feminine/female/women) in

“Will there be hugs and kisses in heaven? Will it be between opposite genders? Will people kiss on the lips?

Do you think there will be open-mouth or passionate kissing in heaven, or is it too disgusting or too related to sex which will not be in heaven?

Will kissing be stimulating like it was on Earth? Will it feel good?

On Earth, there are tough boundaries between members of the opposite sex. Will there still be those boundaries in heaven or will things be different?”

YES.

But it will be more exciting, and stimulating, than the ones humans have on this world. Consider animals have sex too, not just humans, and, if that weren’t pleasurable, then animals wouldn’t have multiplied.

Do you think animals have better sexual experience than us, who are given the authority to dominate the planet? (Genesis 1:28)

Man are of course, NOT deprived of the pleasure these lower lifeforms experience, eating, drinking AND sex.

The Son of Man said on Matthew 12:12 that man is better (or more valuable) than a sheep.

So it stands to reason, that IF man is better than a sheep (or any animal for that matter), then man has a good and better experience when it comes to food and sex— than them.

This may, perhaps be one of the reasons why GOD punished the Angels who has sex with mortal women because Angelic creatures and humans don’t have the same kind.

IF GOD considers beastiality (or human mating with an animal) confusion (or an unnatural act Leviticus 18:23), so are Angels mating with those who don’t share their same nature, as immortals.

Each to his own kind, because Our GOD is not the Author of confusion but if peace. (1 Corinthians 14:33)

As for all other concerns you’ve mentioned, kissing, hugging, sex, etc., I believe all of those BEAUTIFUL things exists in The World to Come, for as I’ve mentioned in My previous replies, sex AND procreation (which ofc includes hugging and kissing) has been made and ordained by GOD BEFORE the Fall and NOT After it. (Genesis 1:28)"

"And that is one OF THE MANY THINGS (besides the ones mentioned on Joel 2:25-32) that will be restored at the Restoration (kj Restitution) of ALL (take note not just some but ALL) things. (Acts 3:21)

And besides, to give you a clue of what Resurrected BODIES will be like, do you remember when Jesus ATE A Fish to prove Hes not a ghost to His disciples? (Luke 21:41-43)

All other concerns of yours follows."

"Talk of someone professing to be wise but is a fool. (Romans 1:22)

Who is the one at error? The Scripture OR you?

Apparently you, because not only have you mispronounced the Saviors Name which is YAHushua btw, but have falsely stated that the Millennium will be in Heaven which is NOT what The Scripture say.

On Revelation 5:9-10 we read:

And they sung a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
And have made us unto our God kings and priests: and WE SHALL REIGN ON THE EARTH.

WHEN would that be?

In the Millennium (in Latin Mille Annis) thousand year.

Revelation 20:6

Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a THOUSAND years.

And btw, your English is horrible. You don’t even know how to construct a sentence well. It seems as if you’re confusing the question the Sadducees regarding the resurrection AND the state or condition of those who will procreate AFTER the New Heavens AND the New Earth.

Are you disputing what Prophet Isaiah has written on his prophecy concerning mankind’s state on the NEW heavens and the NEW earth?

Isaiah 65:17-18, 23 (BBE)

For see, I am making a NEW Heaven and a NEW earth: and the past things will be gone completely out of mind.

But men will be glad and have joy for ever in what I am making; for I am making Jerusalem a delight, and her people a joy.

Their work will not be for nothing, and they will not GIVE BIRTH TO CHILDREN for destruction; for they are a seed to whom the Lord has given his blessing, and their offspring will be with them.

NOW, for your benefit, I have EMPHASIZED those words just in case your vision is impaired and you have trouble reading it.

ACCORDING to that passage in Isaiah, will people be still GIVING BIRTH? Yes. But they won’t be giving “BIRTH TO CHILDREN for destruction ” UNLIKE mothers right NOW do, in this fallen world.

But WHEN would people experience these conditions, BASED on the Scripture ON Isaiah 65?

On verse 17 we read, on the NEW Heaven and a NEW earth.

So will people still give birth OR procreate? YES. But will they be married? Or have wedding ceremonies before giving birth to children? NO."

Jeffrey Andrew Winters said...

The comment continues
"Yeshua tells us plainly that in the resurrection …

… they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. (Matthew 22:30)

WHY?

Because those who are redeemed (and I thought I made this point clear before) are already married in the Spirit to Christ.

Revelation 19:7 (UKJV) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready.

And to GOD Himself:

And I will betroth you unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth you unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving kindness, and in mercies.

I will even betroth you unto me in faithfulness: and you shall know the LORD. Hosea 2:19-20 (UKJV)

But being “married to GOD” doesn’t remove their capacity for childbearing OR procreating which GOD has preordained BEFORE and NOT after the fall of man.

Genesis 1:28 (UKJV)

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.

MEANING their was procreation in The Garden BEFORE Adam and Eve fell to temptation AND not only after. And, hadn’t they fell into sin, their children would have been blessed and have been “a seed to whom the Lord has given his blessing” (Isaiah 65:18).

But since sin entered the world and death by sin (Romans 5:12), the ground is cursed (Genesis 3:17) and that curse will be lifted only when the New Heavens and New Earth come. (Isaiah 65:17; Revelations 21:1 & 22:3)

And that curse includes the woman’s PAIN OR sorrow in childBEARING (Genesis 3:16).

That’s why when the NEW heavens and NEW earth comes (Isaiah 65:17; Revelations 21:1 & 22:3) and when ALL things are RESTORED (Acts 3:21) women will “NOT labour in vain, NOR bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.” (Isaiah 65:23)

On that Day there will be NO more bloody Cains but everyone is as good as Abel.

As GOD promised in The Scripture:

Your people also shall be ALL righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. (Isaiah 60:21)

And btw, for the record, “LIKE the Angels in Heaven” (Mark 12:25) which the righteous in the resurrection will be is DIFFERENT from becoming THE angels in heaven, meaning the righteous will NEVER become EXACTLY like the Angels but in some ways, just LIKE them, even as they will be LIKE The Messiah when He appears BUT NOT EXACTLY The Messiah Himself.

This is what Yohanan OR John meant when he wrote:

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be LIKE Him; for we shall see him as he is. (1 John 3:2)

Now I hope I have made Myself clear on some of the things you do NOT clearly understand. And if, AFTER all those Scriptures Ive cited you haven’t yet understood then that’s no longer My problem, but yours.

This is how Scripture reconciles with each other to someone who understands the Scripture properly and not to someone like you, with a demented mind, not to mention your awful grammar.

GOD Bless.

The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. (Proverbs 3:35)"

Supposing there is sex/marriage in heaven, would it just be between married people, or can anyone have sex with anyone they choose? If I’m married to my wife here on Earth for 50+ years, forsaking all others, being faithful, etc. Does that all just go away in heaven and my wife and I are free to procreate with anybody of the opposite gender? Or do we still honor the commitment and only procreate with eachother?

I would like a serious reply and I am open to discussion. Curious to see what this crowd has to say!"

Hi Bryon

Thanks for the question. Since we already know that BASED on the Scripture—(and not in the demented mind of misogynistic priests and pastors who treat sex as something to be abhorred)—sex and procreation was ORIGINALLY designed by GOD since the Beginning of Time IN THE GARDEN and BEFORE the fall of man (Genesis 1:22) a brief response to your question would be YES. However, it will NOT be on PRESENT Heaven AND Earth (that will be dissolved 2 Peter 3:7) but on the NEW Heavens and the NEW earth as Isaiah 65:17-23 CLEARLY states."

The reply by Rai continues
"If you are married on earth and IF GOD was the One who has blessed your marriage, I believe neither death nor the afterlife will be able to severe your bond. As it is written

Matthew 19:6 (UKJV) Wherefore they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.

As for the unmarried ones like Me, (OR those who have either become unmarried because of VARIOUS reasons (1) either through heartbreak and disappointment (2) because of being mentally challenged OR (3) made themselves eunuch for the Kingdom (Matthew 19:12)—I believe that it all depends upon the Lord’s Will and Decision AT THAT TIME in PARADISE, The Lord who is BOTH merciful and just, loving and compassionate who will “REWARD everyman according to his work.” (Revelations 22:12)

It is not for us to censor or judge, like pharisees what GOD has in store for His loyal followers who have been deprived of some of life’s simple pleasures. IF it is HIS Will to give single ones like us who have been brokenhearted beautiful and immortal partners or brides in the world to come, WHO are the modern day scribes and pharisees to judge?

GOD for instance, forbade kings to multiply wives (plural) for themselves in the Old Testament (Deut. 17:17) BUT to David, a Man after HIS own heart (1 Samuel 13:14) He gave WIVES (2 Samuel 12:8).

Now, what can we say about this? Is The Lord being partial to some of His followers or inconsistent to some of His decrees? Shall we accuse GOD of unrighteousness? FAR be it from us.

Does the clay know better than the Potter?

Who are we to question HIS judgments?

All we know is that

He shows mercy to whom He shows mercy. (Romans 9:18)

And ALL the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What do You? (Daniel 4:35)

One thing we know for sure is that

But as it is written,

Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.

But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.

(1 Corinthians 2:9-10)

And GOD is able to do

exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us … (Ephesians 3:20)

Another Bible version puts it this way:

Now to Him who is able to do in full measure MORE than all our desires or thoughts, through the power which is working in us.

It says MORE and NOT less.

In our way of saying it, “beyond our wildest dreams and imaginations!”

Hes GOD Our Father, afterall and His power and potential are limit LESS!

So be comforted,

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with Him also freely give us ALL THINGS? (Romans 8:32)

IF there are some GOOD, nice, pleasant and beautiful things on earth that are NOT available in Heaven and in the World to Come, THEN its better to live and die for THIS world and NOT the Coming One.

But can something that is FLEETING outshine the BEAUTY of one that is EVERLASTING?

Why bother storing up wealth in Heaven OR in the World to Come IF love and life in THIS world is more pleasurable?

If in this life ONLY we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. (1 Corinthians 15:19)

This is why 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 says—

So let no one take pride in men. For ALL THINGS ARE YOURS;

Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; And you are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.

He that overcomes shall INHERIT ALL THINGS; and I will be his GOD, and he shall be My son. Revelation 21:7 (UKJV)

Blessings!"

"You like many others err in the vision of Yahashua’s Millennial Reign, let alone Heaven. Yeshua was speaking to the Sadducees when He spoke of that scripture in Luke, who didn’t believe in the resurrection. Yeshua was trying to point out that the ceremony for marriage is no longer needed, but people will still procreate. What? Have you not known in the beginning the commandment God gave to Adam and Eve, that they should multiply? If God is never changing, then why should He command them not to fill the Earth and Heaven when we get there? In fact, when the woman at the well was told by Jesus that she had 5 husbands, do you think there was a ceremony for each? God forbid, Jewish law at the time would forbade it. It means she had the consummation of sex with 5 total men. With Christ in Heaven, the idea of marriage is the consummation, or when a man and woman have sex, not the ceremony. Adam and Eve were ‘married’ but never had the ceremony. In God’s eyes, the moment a couple has sex is the ‘marriage’. What Christ was referring to in answering the Sadducees was that the term marriage will be done for, but consummation will still remain. Pray on this and ask God for a revelation man of God…" an interesting comment, in the comments to the article a man named Eric Breaux also made many excellent points, other people typed great comments also, I also gave comments in response to the article by Noah Filipiak

@Jeffrey Andrew Winters "I've never read Randy Alcorn's book so I can't speak definitively. However, from listening to several video interviews with him I get the impression that he has a problem with people believing in any kind of marital or sexual love in heaven. He seems hung up on the literal interpretation of Matthew 22:30 and its companion verses.

I agree with you that happiness or joy is a need. If you have a desire that is frustrated, then that need is not met. People get confused because they think it means that everything that makes you happy has to be in heaven. For example, let's say carrot cake makes you happy, and therefore carrot cake must be in heaven for you to be happy. However, carrot cake itself doesn't have to be there, but your contentment does. That can be satisfied by either 1) carrot cake being there, or 2) you no longer care if carrot cake is there for you to be happy. That sounds a lot like saying that marriage or sex doesn't have to be in heaven. But it's not really the same thing.

The point is that God declared that we have a need for a sexual partner. He said in Genesis that it is not good for the man to be alone, and created a companion for him. That isn't us deciding that we like carrot cake, it is God telling us that we need that partner. If that was God's intent from the beginning, then it will be in Heaven just as it is on earth (Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven). God doesn't changes his mind or create one set of rules for earth and another for Heaven. God's principles are universal and his creation is permanent. Your desire for carrot cake was just a taste you developed during your temporary time on earth, your need for a companion is something deep inside you that God put there from the foundation of Creation."

A good article about the type of bodies Saved Christians will have is from the website
thirdmill.org headlined
"Flesh and Blood Cannot Inherit the Kingdom?" the article says
Question
Paul says flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom - 1 Corinthians 15:20. However, Scripture speaks about a physical resurrection composed of flesh and bone (Luke 24:39).

Answer
1 Corinthians 15:50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
To more fully understand this verse, we must look at the fuller context of what Paul is saying. Paul is not saying that flesh and blood will not inherit the Kingdom, but "corruptible" (KJV) flesh and blood will not. He is comparing the natural to the spiritual (vs. 44), the earthly to the heavenly (vs. 49), and the perishable to the imperishable (vs. 50). These mortal bodies will put on immortality (vs. 53). Paul is simply saying a resurrection with a bodily change is coming.

As you commented, Jesus himself is "incorruptible" flesh and bone. Luke writes, in Luke 24:37-39:

They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."
John writes in John 20:27:
Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."
Though there are many things about the new resurrection body we do not know, Jesus' resurrection body is literal flesh and blood - resurrection flesh and blood! He is the firstborn from the dead (Rom. 8:29; Col. 1:18; Rev. 1:5) and the rest of his body (the invisible church) will follow (1Cor. 15:38; Eph. 5:30) with resurrection bodies at the last day.

The Westminster Confession of Faith (Chapter XXXII - Of the State of Men after Death, and of the Resurrection of the Dead) states:

II. At the last day, such as are found alive shall not die, but be changed: [5] and all the dead shall be raised up, with the selfsame bodies, and none other (although with different qualities), which shall be united again to their souls forever. [6]
5. I Thess. 4:17; I Cor. 15: 51-52
6. John 5:25-29; Acts 24:15; Job 19:26-27; Dan. 12:2; I Cor. 15:42-44

Only Adam and Eve got to experience that relationship in perfection, everyone else experienced it in a flawed, fallen world where we have imperfection, where we age, where our body rots and decays. God does not create something to be imperfect, or to be experienced imperfectly. If God created something, He meant it to be experienced in its perfection.

If I sold you an old, broken down car and said, “Now you’ve experienced the joy of driving a car” would you be satisfied? If I then took you to a new world where cars would be bran new and said, “Sorry, this world is not for cars” would it make you happy?

"I never thought I'd see hostile tanks rumbling through a European city. Or hear the wail of air raid sirens. Or watch live video of non-combatants making Molotov cocktails. I can only imagine how Europeans who were alive during World War II feel about Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

Several years ago, I was leading a Bible study, talking about how Jesus' first public words were "The Kingdom of Heaven is here!" I mentioned, somewhat offhandedly, that when a practicing Christian dies and goes to heaven, they should find it familiar territory. I was surprised when I received pushback about this. A rather grumpy member of the class said I was wrong.

My current "Steve the Pastor" series on Facebook is about prayer. You probably know that the first request of the Lord's prayer is "Thy Kingdom come." I often pose the question, "When you pray for Aunt Edna's arthritis, how are you praying for God's kingdom of heaven to happen on earth?" (And I love Aunt Edna, by the way; she makes sublime oatmeal cookies!.

This begs the question, what does the kingdom of heaven look like? How do we pray for it to happen? How will we know when it arrives? There are two ways to imagine this. First, compile all of Christ's teachings to form your kingdom vision: people healed, demons subdued, everyone, including sex workers and traitors and Romans, are dearly valued, and people share with one another. That's a beautiful image.

The second way is a wonderful spiritual exercise: imagine heaven. No sickness. No hospitals. No sadness. No police. No locks on doors. No poverty or inequity. No one is forgotten or neglected. There are no missiles or fragmentation mines or soldiers. There is no war. We are so saturated in our fallen world, it can be difficult to imagine a life without all of this. By the way, prayerfully imagining this heavenly existence is a spiritual practice quite suitable for the Lenten season.

As followers of Christ, the "kingdom-of-heaven test" is crucial. How am I making heaven a present reality? And how am I praying for the kingdom of heaven to infiltrate today? We pray for peace in Ukraine. We contribute to those in need. We show loving kindness to people who are different. We elect those who pursue peace. Heaven gets closer.

John Lennon was on the right track when he wrote "Imagine:"

"Imagine there's no countries

"It isn't hard to do

"Nothing to kill or die for

"And no religion, too.

"Imagine all the people

"Living life in peace..."

However, Mr. Lennon also said, "Imagine there's no heaven." But anyone who understands what Jesus was all about will know, heaven is the solution. In the future and right now." I think this article by
Steve Sheely is superb, while it doesn't address the topic of
Christians enjoying Sex & Lovemaking in Heaven and the New Earth, still it's a great article, very relevant because of the tragic War in Ukraine

Revelation 22:20 where it says
"Come,Lord Jesus"
Also a while back in these comments I mentioned the song

A good Christian Biblical article I just found is from the website eternitynews.com.au
On April 6, 2022 headlined:
‘SEX IS A GIFT FROM GOD THAT SHOULD BE CELEBRATED!’
Myself and countless other Christians agree, so why would Sex & Lovemaking Not exist in Heaven and the New Earth ?

"Will There Be Sex in Heaven?"
JUNE 2, 2015 BY EL FURY ,
This is a good article about the possibility of Sexual Intercourse & Lovemaking in Heaven and the New Earth from a Christian Biblical Perspective,
Part 2 of this article is dated
July 27, 2021
Like I said before, I don't believe Heaven and the New Earth will be one big giant orgy of Sex. I do however believe that Sexual Intercourse & Lovemaking will probably, most likely exist in Heaven and the New Earth, it will be one of Many things that Christians enjoy and do in Heaven and the New Earth. In this current Earthly Life Sex & Lovemaking is one of many things that Christians enjoy, life is about many things.

Earlier today I was at a local bookstore and I noticed the
May 2022 Harper's Magazine in the Magazine section
On the Cover it said
"Robots, Virtual Reality, and the Future of Sex" by Sam Lipsyte
On page 23 this article by
Mr. Lipsyte appears and it says
"Ghosting the Machine, Humans, robots, and the new sexual frontier" However I feel the ultimate future of Sex & Lovemaking in Heaven and the New Earth will be Sex Existing like it does right now, Humans with Solid Physical Bodies enjoying Sex, only in Heaven and the New Earth there will be no more diseases, no STD's ,no unwanted pregnancies or any other of the tragic things that sadly sometimes results from Sex in this fallen Sinful World , like jealously, broken hearts, etc

Questionworld , I looked up and read that article, I don't see where it allows comments. That article defends the false "No Sex in Heaven" View

It used to allow comments, but apparently not anymore.

About my above comment of September 7, 2020 at
6:31 PM where I mentioned the debate.org website and the question posed by Batmangeek75
"Will there be sex in Heaven? Will we make love to our brothers and sisters in Christ" he typed in part
"Food and Drink in Heaven. Why not sex?
Life with our creator will not be boring. Marriage is required for sex only in this life. In Heaven, We will be free to make perfect love with one another. I do not think there will be orgies( orgies detract from the brilliance and beautiful intimacy of God's gift.
But yes, We will make love to each other" I don't think Batmangeek75 is a
Mormon LDS Christian, and Mr. Tom Gruber and many other Christians would disagree that Marriage is required for Sex in this life. Mr. Gruber and other Christians would agree that Pre-Marital Sex is Not Always a Sin . People have different interpretations of the Bible. However, I think Batmangeek75 is Spot on when he argues for Christians enjoying Sex and Lovemaking in Heaven, along with Food, Drink and many other things Christians enjoy in this current Earthly life. I agree that Heaven and the New Earth will Not be boring, it will be an Amazing Adventure, the Ultimate Adventure, with no evil, suffering or injustice. It's a shame that the debate.org website is shutting down on June 5, 2022

Furthermore,
The New York Post website
nypost.com has an article headlined
"Christian model says God wants her ‘to keep stripping until she’s 75’ "
By Andrew Court
on May 26, 2022 the article is about the devout Christian OnlyFans model , Nita Marie, aged 46 from Colorado, USA.
Various other online articles about Nita Marie since
September 2021 appear online, if all the things Nita Marie says since September 2021 are true, I think it's even more evidence of
Sex and Lovemaking existing in Heaven and the New Earth. That if what Nita Marie claims is true it strongly hints at Sex and Lovemaking existing in Heaven and the New Earth !!! God is definitely Pro-Sex as many Christians have stated .
Other great blonde OnlyFans models are Lindsey Pelas &
Elle Johnson !!
Elle Johnson for many years has been on Social Media, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, but she joined OnlyFans in October 2021

A few minutes ago I found out about two Christian books both published in 2021
The first one is titled
"Is there Sex in Heaven?" by
Alan Berkeley Thomas
The other one is titled
"Under the Bed of Heaven:
Christian Eschatology and Sexual Ethics" by
Richard W. McCarty
From the website
www.barnesandnoble.com it says about the book
"Under the Bed of Heaven" in the Table of Contents
Chapter 2 is titled
"Sex in Heaven"
Chapter 3. "Christianity's Sexless Heaven" &
Chapter 4 is titled
"New Visions for Sex in Heaven"
Myself, Jeff Andrew Winters, I seriously doubt Heaven and the New Earth will be Sexless.
I think Sex & Lovemaking will be one of many things Christians will enjoy in Heaven and the New Earth. Myself and other Mainstream Christians think that the traditional view
"No Sex in Heaven" is False, unbiblical and horribly unjust, unfair to the countless disabled and healthy Christians alike who are often unable to find and get
Sex & Love in this current Earthly life.

I just received the book in the mail
"Is there Sex in Heaven?" by
Alan Berkeley Thomas
It turns out that it is a book of poetry, on page 25 of this book ,
There is a Poem titled
"Is There Sex in Heaven?"
The poem on page 25 sadly supports the False unbiblical
"No Sex in Heaven" view ,
Still waiting for the other book to arrive

Since we have seen that
there are good Biblical reasons to believe that Christians in Heaven & The New Earth will enjoy Sex, Lovemaking and even procreation. I wonder what if some Christians in
Heaven & The New Earth don't want to procreate, that they will be thrilled to enjoy Sex & Lovemaking, but don't want children. Would God respect their Choice to Not have children ?
Just as in this current Earthly life there are Christian Men & Women who don't want to have children or adopt
Since some Mainstream Christians believe Sex & Lovemaking exists after death, in Heaven and the New Earth, I wonder how many of them want to remain child less in both this life and for all Eternity

Is going from sex to heaven like going from Barker lever to Willis floating and Fisk servopneumatic levers?
I bet there will be pipe organs in heaven. Maybe an organ division called "Divine (floating)" or "Divine (V)" or "Divine (VI)." Such division would be more powerful than Celestial or Ethereal of the Lied Organ, First-Plymouth Church, Lincoln, Nebraska. Maybe save such division for Heaven?

"How Religion Ruins Sex"
However as many have said
Christianity is Not about Religion but a Relationship with God,Jesus & The Holy Spirit, a Faith.
Myself and other Mainstream Christians believe that the traditional view of
"No Sex in Heaven" is False and
very problematic, countless Christians want there to be Sex & Lovemaking in Heaven, even if they don't say it.
While I'm personally Not Mormon, LDS.
Living in New York City, I occasionally see Mormon Men & Women, they say Hi to me, I greet them back.
I wonder since their Mormon, LDS beliefs teach that Sex, Sexual Intercourse exists in Heaven, how often does the Average Mormon think about Sex in Heaven ?
Another article I found is from
